剛看完電視新聞，看到有位中文中學校長說今年會校英文科考試，對中中唔公平，唔知大家有乜睇法呢？

香港教育制度越改越差, 都唔知想點, 好似今年咁英文科二卷合併, 其實對中中學生真係唔多公平, 如果係要統一就將所有學校統一為英中或者係中中啦, 咁就大家都公平喇.

每一科程度標準統一化並無不公平.  

不公平者乃是在小朋友於12歲年紀尚幼時, 以成績定証其有沒有能力以英語學習, 一刀切把大部分學生全面接觸英語學習的機會剝奪, 對於一些遲開竅或遲發力的學生並不公平.

One Syllabus > Two Syllabuses

I think using a kind of universal yardstick is 'better' than the old system of two syllabuses.  Here I don't intend to touch on the subject of 'fairness' as it's out of question.  In fact, in the old days, employers (including the govt) are using their 'equivalency' table to measure the standards of candidates taking different syllabuses.  It just doesn't make sense except perhaps for the feel-good factor to some students/parents who might feel better to get a "C" in Syl A than to get a E in Syl B.

I agree that it's the system of categorising or labelling schools in terms of EMI or CMI that is controversial.

Do you mean 'public exams' should be avoided and only 'in-school' assessments are fair and just?

皆因不少母語教學的中學, 在英文課以外差不多全不會用英語.
但在部份英中, 非中文類科目也有時會用中文, 甚至家長通告等涉及學生以外的事情上仍用中文, 學生在該種語文環境生活較多, 自然在該部份較容易有進步。

不過這亦不完全是主因, 不過因為中文中學需要比英文中學更多花力氣去使學生學習英文.
但若讓他們要學好英文, 首先要他們不怕英文.
然而有些學生卻因逃避用英文學習才到中文中學
(小弟以前做的一間學校, 有個考全級頭十名的學生, 寧願第一志願報一間BAND 2的中文中學, 就因為想逃避英文, 而家在該校全級頭三名, 除英文外其他各科都拋離其他頭幾名同學<-當然她的心態也不太正常)
