一心讀國際學校就Victoria la.

成個style 都北美D。IB students 個profile 比較適合上international school.

如果你有朋友讀St Cat n Victoria, 你只要比較下D功課。就會發現，Victoria 嘅功課量少，但要做得好，所要花心機去思考。focus on quality.

St Cat 就好紮實咁溫習學過的……是drilling.

2 樣對學習都重要……但如要fit international school training , Victoria 較好。

咁如果以語文基礎來看，係咪維記英普班都好，不下於sc 英普？
d人成日話維記好relax，唔知學校教左乜，因為冇乜drilling
但又有人話sc又係好淺，維記d materials 仲深，好confuse

Depends in your.child.  During P N, i walk through with her everyday afterschool how to get the homework out of the schoolbag, turn to the page and sit down to do it.

I help her with the scissors and glue.

In K1, i tell her to do it.  Watch her use scissors.

In K2, she tells me when she is done and I check it.  Chinese writing everyday, thats easy but tedious. Lots of books to read to child.

I wont help her beautify her work but only ask her to tell me if something can be improved.

The teachers have told them how to complete the work in class, so they should be able to.do the work even if they cant read instructions.

Parent involvement would be discussing the homeqork with kids.eg  魚， kids cut out pictures of different fish and you.discuss with her what type of fish it is.

That's it.

I dont care about marks because homework is not graded.  I care about her sense of responsibility to complete her work.  I care if she learnt something out of the work.

其實唔明點解仲有咁多人話維記relax..., 我囝囝今年k3了，每日兩份功課，假期前有起碼5、6份功課同週記，再加每星期7本書，有comprehension... 未計project , 中文會寫「平衡」，我覺得唔算真係好hea...
其實佢地學嘅野真係好闊，有時會認識吓其他國家文化又會有，保護地球資源又會講，加上維記有好一部分小朋友非華人，令佢地好習慣同唔同國家嘅人相處。不過好多時真係唔知佢地係學校學習情況（小朋友大部分都講唔出！）而且佢地真係俾其他學校嘅小朋友「活潑」d, 可能自由慣...

我諗Victoria relax 在於學校和parents 都是focus 在學習過程中小孩有否得着, 是否不斷進步，而不是為着追目標.

傳統學校就比較喜歡量化學習成果，meet 到就叫好。

IB profile 呢？衡量的是observancy,
creativity, cooperation....etc

K3 功課咁多，我開始驚。

I like the exposure Victoria gives too. It is something parents cannot easily supplement at home.

可以講下bilingual 同trilingual class 課程，功課係咪一樣？我只知trilingual 有3個語文的老師長註，bilingual 就2個，咁仲有其他分別嗎？

咁我冇比較過。

其實我個人着重小孩學習和吸收(input) 多過做功課(output)

我寧願佢多用上堂時間學新野，好過成日上堂做worksheet, dictation, tests...etc

佢做太多worksheet 反而浪費了可用來learning 嘅時間。

我都知我唔係主流parent, 所以揀學校好睇家校理念是否一致。
