Hmmm a bit tricky... I think it's best you write a letter to the KG Principal first and if you don't hear from her/him in 2 weeks you make an appt with the Principal (I'm sure principals are all very busy and they would appreciate a head -up first). Because it's hard to say if it's fair or not and u don't want to sound too pushy or you are accusing the school for missing the first round. Just emphasize the fact that both you and your husband and your kid love the school very much and it was unfortunate that you missed the first round and see if she/he can talk to the Primary school master/mistress to grant you another interview (second chance).... Because if someone declines the offer your son may go on top of the waiting list. Just a thought not sure this will work. Good luck
