I believe the no of applicants is around 700. As told by Principal, He will not take all the 175 students in this around.  At least some seats for 2nd.  but it all depends on the quality.  As indicated in last year, around 100 is taken in the 1st round and remaining in the 2nd........
For the matter of stars on applicant's label.  I don't believe it as it is not making sense for the teachers to do that.  I think it is simply a mark for indicating that the students have finished the test, either by making a signature, ticks, stars,.......etc.
Anyway, result is coming next week.  Just relax !

Glad to have this forrum      I miss the deadline for 1st round application and will try for the 2nd.

Call the administration office, sounds like that there is 2nd round coming up, they told me to keep checking on their website.

Hi all,

Can anyone help to explain why there is a 2nd round?  Can the same kids who applied in the 1st round but failed, apply for the 2nd round?  If yes, so the school is probably meeting the same kids the second time.  It is a waste of effort?!  Why they set up this two rounds?  

By the way, if there is no limitation for applicants in the 2nd round, I will apply for my girl again, for I think that she cannot make it in the first round.  Nowadays, it is very headache to be parents.

Reason for having 2nd round is simple.
The 1st round result release b4 Govt' first round lucky draw.  So there may be some parent decide to take Govt's one.  The school is taking this 2nd round and waiting list method to secure enough students.
Last year, 2nd is held Jan if I remember correctly.

Last year, the second round should be on Oct. and the result is on end Nov.- early Dec. It is earlier than the second round luck draw (on Jan.).

As I know, the school was too new last year and not many parents know that. So the second round interview was held.

i forget to saw the sticker and just get back the photo and throw away , and i just can explain our presentation not good at all, and what can i do? if really can't get the seat
i scare they remember our kids is 1st round child and mark lower

Yes, last year I received the confirmation letter early Dec. and the deadline was mid. Dec.

Don't worry!!

Kid's performance only counts 40%.  The crucial factors are:

1) If the mother a full time houswife, you will gain additional mark.

2) If the kid is took care by grandma, you will be deducted marks seriously.

3) Remember!!  Maid is better than grandma since they follow master's schedule and instruction.  However, grandma is too loose.  Furthermore, maid can speak English and grandma don't.  OK??

Remember!!  In short, parents are even more important than kids.  

Don't wear t-shirts and jeans for a interview next time.  OK??

I am not surprised to see the way how schools mark for junior interviewees (5 years old).  I remembered that I have my girl interviewed at the Po Leung Kuk kindnergarten for K1 (a 2-1/2 years old kid), they expected  mother not working to assist the kid to learn?!

By the way, Jovis, do you get this guideline from Evangel or this is a general guideline for all schools?
