Most healthcare professional programs need Chemistry HL, without Chemistry, you can look at second tier programs like nursing ....

ESS is transdiciplinary. It can be taken as a Group 3 or Group 4 and is available in SL only.This subject is usually taken by students that do not like taking tradition Group 3 or Group 4.

The term trans-disciplinary was used just out of my head.
The official IBO site call ESS a inter-disciplinary subject.

I normally use Inter-Disciplinary, the centre for recent HKU Council meetings also used Inter-Disciplinary.

我識一些由於選擇中英文B HL，他們亦懂得選擇另外三個 HL，他指出大學不算Eng B HL 是HL，都不是完全錯誤，是有道理的！
