I used Letterland to teach my son letter sounds first, Beyond ABC and Far Beyond ABC are a bit similar to RWI Phonics and are easier, but RWI is more organised as the One-to-one tutoring kit has more supporting story books. If you use the three books of Letterland, you can use other story books instead, I think it is also OK. They are similar.
