施德福(Stafford) - 请给些意见

很多謝jychan的意見, 跟猴子爸一様, 我老公十分重視德育方面.

上星期六的面試中, 是我帶囡囡面試, 老公就去聽簡介會; 我這邊廂的感覺非常好（包括校舍環境及老師親切態度）.  至於我老公方面, 就恰好相反, 他説那個課程總監很hard-sell, 只着重吹嘘他們學生的英語能力（佔3/4時間), 他感覺不太舒服, 感覺只看重英語能力, 難道英語是學習的全部???  這是令他感覺不舒服的最大原因, 其次就是那個課程總監的面孔, 一點也不謙虚, 不過可能她實在為自己的學生感到自豪而一時忘形。(這點不難理解)

本來這所幼稚園也是我的頭3名target, 但而家我老公叫我想清楚, 因為他一想起那個簡介會就想打退堂鼓, 我想那個簡介會給了我們反效果。 也好!! 起碼我們有清楚既picture去選擇.

My daughter also accepted by Stafford.  Did you pay the "reservation fee" yet?

Yes, I paid the registration fee last Saturday.  But, we have not yet deceided whether we should send our daughter to Stafford, or other school.

Actually, we applied 6 kinders for our daughter,

Creative Primary's kinder - accepted am & paid registeration fee
Stafford - accepted am & paid registeration fee
HKBU's kinder - interviewed (will not consider)
St. Cat - interviewed (will not consider)
Soka - applied, not yet interviewed
HKPS - applied, not yet interviewed

Soka will be the 1st priority (low school fee & good reputation).  If not accepted by Soka, I will consider choose from Stafford/HKPS (if accepted).  But still 15/16.

How about you?  Already made up your mind to go to Stafford?

各位,

我的另一憂慮是入這所學校的小朋友會否変成考試機器??  因為我見學校很標榜公開試既優異成績, 萬一我個囡唔爭氣咁咪弊, 小小年紀便要承受考試壓力.  但大勢所趨, 要考私小要有野比人睇, 我都好矛盾

猴子爸,

創價的口碑十分好, 尤其徳行方面, 學校透明度高, 你可以參考下創價的網頁及入面既視學報告Click here, 而且學費相宜, 但競爭非常激烈, 據聞去年1,200人爭180個位.

我認為施徳福有既優點創價都具備, 不過施徳福既高英文程度創價就未必有.  不過其實我知道的都係好表面既印象, 希望其它人都講下你地既意見

究竟施德福和约克的姊妹关系是怎样的一回事？约克拆伙会不会影响施德福？

對!  我朋友的一對子女也是從约克K1轉到施德福讀K2, "那很难想象这两个学校在背后的公司股份上面是没有关联", 不然的話, 又怎會將現有的學生推薦至一間無関連的學校呢?? (始終是一盤生意）

不要緊, 距離開學還有一段時間, 只要有後着, 我們不需太担心, 也不會太徬徨, 可以睇定D

真係多謝你的寶貴意見, 很値得參考, 因為係第一手用家心聲    你去年有沒有考慮樂基（HKPS）, 你會點比較Stafford / HKPS, 我現在還很迷惑, 又15�16; 又請問你知不知Stafford有無教師流失既情況, 我自己面試那天所接觸的老師又真的很親切, 又聽你説老師都很関心學生, 我對這所學校都有很好印象; 但始終一日未決定都仍然15/16, 希望你唔好嫌我婆媽.  謝謝

It is very kind of you to share with us your experience in choosing kinder for your daughter last year.  

Yes, you are right!!  I should be able to choose a SUITABLE school for her as I should be the one who knows her the best.  I will make my decision carefully and confidently.  Thanks for your helpful advice again

We still not yet received the letter from Soka yet.  But, we may not consider Soka now even Elyse got accepted finally (But, I think the chance is veryyyy low).  We have some reservation about its academic level though I believe it is a happy kinder.

We will pick among Stafford/HKPS & SC now.  My husband not prefer SC as similar reasons rasied by jychan.  At this moment, SC is not our first choice.  But, SC really has good reputation.  So, I can't tell I will give it up.  

How about you?  Stafford or SC or other kinder you pick for 猴子?  Have you made your final decision?   HKPS result will not be announced until 6/Jan?  I'm struggling to pay the reservation fee for SC or not.  If I make the decision before 17/Dec, I can save $660 if I decided to give up SC.  If I am still hesitate, maybe I have to pay first and have time to consider more deeply.

Will you join the Stafford Christmas party on 16/Dec?

Yes, I will be there, too.  I think it will be a good chance for us to feel more about this kinder.

見你SC�Stafford兩邊走, 有決定未呀?  我同老公商議後決定放棄SC, 他説寧選Soka也不選SC　(創價最後收了囡囡).

为什么你的老公那么不喜欢SC?

理由主要係佢覺得SC太大, 担心老師放係毎個小朋友既專注不足, 未能好好的因材施教; 相反較細的學校(小班教學)就比較貼心、貼身.

不過其實我覺得我老公既性格都有左右佢既決定(佢幾抗拒品牌、名牌）

最初我也有想過先交留位費再慢慢考慮, 怕錯失了機會, 但老公又老大不願意.  希望無論最後我們選的是那一間, 都是最合適囡囡的.
