Local P4 轉校到 IS G6 下學期, 是否風險太大呢? 請賜教

My son is now studying in a local school P4 only, the academic level of his current local school is 0.5 - 1 year ahead of other local schools.   General Studies are taught in English.

2 days ago, an international offered him a place to grade 6 2nd term.   Some people warned me to think very carefully before the change.  The reason is my son has to go to college in just 5 months of study in that international school.   

If you were me, would you allow for the change or wait for another chance?  Please help.

But, IS system calculates the school grade by year only and this is why they want my son to be in grade 6.

My original plan is to let him to take a good rest at IS after 3.5 years of study in local school.   

Now, the school will put him in Grade 6, it means he has to study hard on English immediately after the move so as to prepare himself for secondary school education.

hkparent is right.   No jump grade is involved for the IS school just put my son in the grade according to the age-grade table.

The risk is ...  if it takes too much effort to adjust, the cost may be "loss of interest on learning".....   And he has to tolerate "not-good-looking" school report cards ....
