For secondary schools like St Paul Coed, St Joseph and King's College. Is a "Pass with Merit" in PET helpful in S1 application  (i.e. good selling point) ?

I just want to gauge my son's chance getting a place with these schools as the candidates for these schools could all be very good in English and a "Pass with Merit" in PET means nothing..

To be honest, I don't think Flyer will be of any use for S1 application. The reason I post this question is because I noticed that over 90% of candidates for the PET exam are primary students (based on their height)  and PET  is two levels higher than Flyer (Flyer ->KET->PET).

I too doubt that PET is also useless as there are too many children can pass this test with good result.

Thank you ...

My obervation is not very scientific. As I said just based on their height. My son took the PET exam in Wanchai (near Morrision HIll swimming pool) last November.

Also, the exam fee is quite expensive ($800+).  I don't think many secondary (S1 or S2) school students will take this exam unless they want to switch to a different school.

可否講清你的「統計」呢?
日期?
考場?
人數?

:) :) :)
