I won't and can't say that ALL TSL teachers are v good teachers, but at least MOST (absolute majority) of them are.  (I have also met a few who are not as good; fortunately these are a minority.)  Afterall, I can't expect all the teachers to be able to please all parents all of the time.
(If you have time to pm me the "case", I would really like to hear about this one. )

As for getting in by the 2nd round, actually I think quite a lot of parents whose kids are admitted in the 1st round would NOT register as they are compulsorily required to relinquish their claims on Mark 6.  So my guess is, the chances of admission may likely be higher than 1st round !

Hi flostangraphy,

I didn't apply very famous school for my son as I believe my EQ not higher enough to 'survive' in such school. Hope that he can be one of the 'big fish' in TSL.

The other day I asked the teacher at TSL whether sibling studying at TSL will help the P1 application.  She said the school will take that into account but the applicant has perform well in the interview which is most critical part of the application process.      My interpretation of her answer is that you get some extra marks  for having sibling studying at TSL.   

Forgot to ask her how to tell the school as there is no field in the application form for this information.

The TSL kid can simply tell the teacher(s), eg class teacher(s).

If I am not mistaken, it seems there is a field for you to declare this in the on-line application form.
But you may double check this with the school again..

我之前都係咁問老師...佢當時答我係MINOR CONSIDERATION。但呢個CONSIDERATION真係好難講...大果個讀得唔好, 咪唔CONSIDERATE你細果個囉...

所以我而家成日都叫呀仔醒定D.... 唔係一陣呀妹比佢影響到呢。

Just checked my print-out record from the on-line application form and it doesn't have such field.  Anyway, I don't have to worry about this until next year. Before that, I have plenty of time to find out from the school.

The alumni x'mas party is for the alumni, not for us.
All parents are invited to the x'mas party (diff time slot for diff classes), and may sign up to be volunteer helpers.
If am sure if you want to go along this year, at least one of the parents here will gladly "lend" you a kid.

You will have lot of chances to attend various kinds of school activities in the coming 6 years (or even longer). 
Therefore, please be a bit more patient!! 

BTW, there is a new look on the school website (i.e. snowflakes falling down with icy blue background colour).
