Yes Fr is a beautiful language - the sounds are tre bien.

I asked my kid to take Basic Fr (i.e. Fr as 3rd language) instead of Jap, and if and when I take him to Europe I will have a guide !

You must have been too busy at work recently and missed some notices on this one.

Though nothing new in some schools (eg SPCC, CKY), it is quite new for TSL.

Would consider it a very good experience for kids.  But if you have time in summer hols and plan to travel with your kid(s), perhaps no need to go on this trip.

The co-organizer is better than some agencies and experienced.

Personally I have every confidence in TSL teachers and their ability to lead such groups.

But becos of personal reasons, we have decided not to join.

The teachers and kids are quite engrossed in preparations for Open Day already !

Haven't donated anything, but sure hope I can buy some things at the Bazaar !

Better plan to park your car elsewhere.
There will be visitors ==> need to have carparking space for VIPs, Principal , teachers.
The spaces are not open to parents.

Why don't you consider Outward Bound programmes instad ?
I feel more comfortable for kids to be somewhere in HK.
Outward Bound offers programmes for kids below 11y, 11y+ and teenagers, during summer hols, Christmas hols and Easter hols, usually 5d4n.
Need to ask them to fax you the info.

I'm sure they will learn a lot from the 3d2n outward bound programme !

Will tell piglet that your kids are going !  (Hope he will be more interested.)

I'm gathering a party of kids for 5d4n Outward Bound next year.  (Well not too many, cos they don't accommodate many kids in 1 round.)

But Typhoon Signal No. 1 has just been hoisted.  You should look out for calls from Outward Bound re typhoon arrangements woh.

I'm more comfortable with the idea of Outward Bound in HK than Shaolin in China !

The distribution was given in school website in past years.  Not sure whether the data is available nowadays.

看多了便習慣，小朋友容易和人友好，如成人則難了。沒什麼分歧啦! 文化方便課內外有教的。放心!
種族之間的分歧及同學文化間的差異 - There is no problem (分歧,差異) at all !  Kids of other races usually treat me (a parent) even better than local Chinese kids !!

Well, my kid rang me up and demanded to know why they still had to attend school, no notice of extra school holiday despite HS flu.

Guess we may need to entertain our kids at home again !

I'd like to remind you that the number of appl you keep seeing in every pr school you applied for
should represent nearly the same group of kids whose parents more or less choose the same schools to apply for.

Quite confusing, eh ?

What I mean is,
simply,
they are more or less the SAME kids,
so there may be ~6000 - 7000 kids, incl girls and boys, who apply for priv and DSS schools, and each school get ~2500 applications.
Then when their admission is confirmed,
they all start to play musical chair,
a game that will last until the 2nd or 3rd week of P1.

Did your kids tell you when they got home :

Over 100 kids were absent from school today !!
[Though not all absence are becos of HSI (like Hang Seng Index), seems that a lot of kids are sick !!]
