學之園覆咗我未必會有位比我轉 am, 但 pm 在我嚟講無咁方便......

Sorry that I don't have experience of other schools you mentioned but please allow me to express some ideas about THINK (Laguna City).

My daughter is studying Nursery in THINK (Laguna).  I chose this school merely because it is near to our home and I don't have any idea about this school before.  When my daughter started school in Aug this year, she was totally an English girl and did not understand Chinese at all.  But the teacher is very caring and will repeat the instructions in Chinese for a few times, if my daughter really don’t understand then she will speak in English to give her some hints.
In Nov 8, my girl interviewed KV and she totally understood the instructions by the teachers in Chinese (just 2 months since the start of Nursery) and was luckily accepted by KV.  But I will surely let her stay in THINK for K1.  The reasons I interviewed KV & St. Cat is only want to try her ability in the competitive Kowloon Tong KGs.  I also want to mention that although she understand more Chinese now but her English standard still maintain the same level.  She can speak in English and Chinese in full sentence although her intonation in Chinese is still a little bit weird.

I was also surprised that the teacher will call me everyday to let me know how my girl was doing in the school for almost 2 months.
Now they will also called me once a week.
I also noticed that the principal is always around whenever there are seminars or open day.
She is a nice lady and ready to answer parents’ questions.
They also successfully quit the diaper for my daughter only in 2-3 weeks' time.  Something I really appreciate is that before we start the Nursery, the principal told us not to worry about how to quit the diaper, just let them do it.  Also when we interview for K1, the notice stated that “面試過程簡單, 莫加添兒童壓力”.
I feel that they really care about the children.  The other factor that I like THINK is that they have a big open playground with fresh air which is very essential to little kids.


Hope the above will give you some ideas.

謝謝你的詳細分享 ! 聽你的回覆, 亦了解到朗思的老師除了對小孩細心外, 亦能顧及家長 !

我想小朋友愉快地學習之餘, 對學術上亦想有要求. (英語及普通話)
聽聞 "金巴倫" 及 "朗思" 都是能給予孩子愉快學習的地方, 因此想知這兩所學校, 於學術方面及升小那個佔優 ?
想聽多些意見 ! 謝謝 !

THINK also accepted my girl in English/Chinese class as they explained that they want the child to be more familiar with their native language first before they learn Putonghua.  However, when they go to K3, all classes in English/Chinese will turn to English/Putonghua.  As they are 雙班主任制, in K3 the 2 class teachers will be English and native speaking Putonghua teacher.  Which I think is reasonable and acceptable.  I also want her to learn more Cantonese before studying Putonghua.

明白 ! 我都認同最基本母語的重要性.

另剛有朋友跟我說, 她姑奶的囡囡是上屆的 "金巴倫" 畢業生, 但她卻見小朋友於k2及k3時自費於街外學 phonic, why ??

"金巴倫" 不是有外藉老師任教的嗎 ?

有知情的家長, 可代為解答嗎 ?? THX !!

睇學校的資料, 有好多去直資如 播道(TKO) 等, 我自己覺得朗思唔錯 (合我目標的小學),  不過名氣上HKPS 可能好D..金巴倫就唔清楚..

學之園能轉 am 機會唔太高, 所以應該唔考慮 (pm 不大方便)....

星期六 HKPS interview, 我諗取錄機會率唔高....
1) 太多人競爭, 但取錄位又唔多.
2) 我個小朋友於 interview 前叫佢去洗手間, 佢顧住玩唔肯去, 到 in 緊時老師問問吓又話要去, 結果我哋 in 得好趕, d 嘢都未問晒就到下一輪啦 ~ 我諗都係無行.....

即係依家只得...

金巴倫是有外藉老師每日任教, 亦有 phonics 架,
點解要出外自費再學, 唔知呀,
我估就正如家長都會比小朋友讀公文, 奧數, 但學校都有教數學啦, 想比正常 level 學快d 掛.

我都好想知, 曾打過電話去學校問, 佢話好睇小朋友居住地點同家長決擇, 佢話 喇沙 / 小拔 / 蔡繼有... etc... 都有. 最主要睇你點同小朋友揀. (佢係咁答我.)
