本來對呢間幼稚園無咩留意, 突然見呢幾日好多媽咪都想佢的application form, 覺得有啲好奇, 有無媽咪可以分享下呢間幼稚園.

i'm not an expert on HKPS, just wanna share what i know.

- it's relatively new compared with the other trad. well-known kgs, but with quite good reputation, esp. some of its graduates are admitted to DBS almost every year

- with both anglo-chinese and eng-pth class

- small number of classes for each form, so in principle, should be better care for each student (though at the beginning of this academic year, a student left the classroom and the teacher didn't notice !)

- some praise it highly for providing free violin classes (it's also heard that the teaching quality of this is just soo sooo, and some mammies say 學壞手）

maybe you can check the threads under HK Preschool ,which may give you more ideas about the school.

a little more information

Eng - PTH class - Native speaking teacher

Music and PE lesson -- employ professional teacher from outside to teach student even apply on Playgroup class

Good academic training -- phonics teaching starting from playgroup class. as far as I know, students went to SFA, St Mary, DBS, Maryknoll etc.. for their primary study

Good caring and kind teacher , auntie and principle

2 years old class available , all the students will automatcially be promoted to their K1, otherwise, so it would be a good back up plan to either stay or go further to your 1st choice.  ( but I know most of the students stay and promote to K1 even they got offer from KV or St Cat.)  

for your information, last year around 7xx application to fight for around 100 seats.
cause only 2 class Chi-Eng (AM / PM) and 2 class Eng - Pth ( AM/PM). Not to say some seats reserved to sibiling ( they are still studying at HKPS).

FYI, K2 students start writing chinese characters in K2, and the chinese characters are getting very complicate in K3, for example, doctor, policeman, school, nurse, and they even have to write weekly report.  Teaching my kid chinese writing is a very painful job for me, evening I am not a working mom.

no 雜費, book fee ranging from $1000-$1400 each semester.

you really know which kindergarten we ar talking about?  or perhaps just sour grapes
both of my kids are studying at HKPS (ascot), all classes are filled to its max capacity.

yes, all playgroup classes this year are full in Ascot campus. also, there were so many applications last year, i wonder why you are saying that HKPS is not able to admit enough students.

my son is studying playgroup at HKPS (Ascot). seems most of you are applying for Kln Tong campus, my comment may not help indeed.

家長會同小朋友一齊面試，老師會先問家長小朋友o既生活習慣，然後問小朋友幾個簡單問題。係個別面試，唔係小組面試。

I may not go for interview if I have received the acceptance letter from KV...also, I'm really tired to go to interview again

I have not yet received the acceptance letter from KV.

I just said I will not go to HKPS interview IF KV give me the offer this week/in early next week.
