不過今次插班考試真係競爭大, P3有160人考,收9個1有111人考,收2個喳 細仔Peter failed左
但係大仔可以入到我都開心到眼濕濕, 真係要感謝上主! :

I think the 5 places in P1 are reserved for those留班生 as the Gov't allows every school to reserve 5% places for留班生. Of course if turn out there's no 留班生, the headmaster has the discretion to allocate those places to suitable kids.

英華4至6年級才是基全小學的舊生, P2-3係去年公開招返來既,據說不少來自九龍塘小學、宣道、聖約瑟、德信、油天,程度唔差架!

今朝剛坐校車送完兩個仔返YW,正式加入你地既大家庭喇!

我地會參加 8 Feb嘉年華, 認識下學校既歷史&環境、設施etc.

我想問下有冇家長會去10 Feb與校長交流既"家長小聚"呢?

真希望大家有機會坐低飲杯茶傾下偈,交流一下小朋友既學習生涯，好似隔籬"民生媽咪會"咁！

I think you're referring to thoses teachers from Kei Tsuen PM School. I remember mayc mentioned those teachers in this topic before but I can't recall the details.

From my very limited personal experience, I feel the teachers of YW are quite enthusiastic, responsible and readily accessible. Last Friday, my elder boy lost his student handbook and he forgot to write the homework details. I called the school office after school and  the classteacher returned me a call in a few minutes time and he was very helpful in giving me the necessary information indeed!

I think it's somewhat exaggerate to say that teachers from Kei Tsuen are below standard as all teachers nowadays are required to possess post secondary college degrees at least and those English language and Putonghua teachers are required to pass基準試, and there're quite a lot of 超額教師. I don't think those so-called "below standard teachers" could survive in YW in any event!

Well let's go and see la! I'm going to ask my boys' comments on their teachers' performance as compared with their previous schools' teachers and will share with you later!

"超額教師"=冗員,即因縮班或其他原因而多左出來既教師，他們會面臨被裁的命運！

Sorry for the improper word used! I'm not saying "surplus teachers" are inferior/have poor performance at all! What I'm saying is there seems to have over supply of teachers and the school administration obviously has a lot of choice in recruiting suitable and capable teachers.
