Did any body apply this school for your child? I have received an acknowledge letter from the school saying that interviews will be held after the Chinese new year.

I submitted the application in early Jan and only received the acknowledgement a few days ago.  I think you will receive the acknowledge letter later.

I have acquired by phone to RC today and be informed the interview dated on 20/2. My daughter  is studying P3 and we shall hope her to join in Y4 in  Sep06. How about both of you?

DEAR FATHER
I want my child has a higher quality of educational environment for  learning and development.Also, I prefer IB programme as a effective "sofe ware " for human development source.

My little girl is now studing in K3 and she should join Year 1/P1  in Sept this year. I also think that IB programme is better than the conventional curriculum for the development of my child.  Besides, the school is near to our home as we live in Ma On Shan.

Is your girl born in 2001? She will join P1 at ESF schools if your is born in 2001. If she is born in 2000, then she should be joining P2 instead.

What is so good about the IB curriculum? Can your eloborate on the pros and cons of IB compared with the HK local curriculum?

Do you worry that your child's chinese standard will not reach a satisfactory level in the IB program? And he or she will lose the traditional chinese culture if grow up in an international school environment?

Have you evaluated the personality of your child to see if he or she is suitable candidate for IB curriculum?

If the child can sit still and is disciplined, the he or she can easily acquire knowledges via spoon-feeding approach, and will do very well in local schools. On the contrary, the this type of child may find it difficult in the IB program where one needs to be actively involved in self-learning and critical thinking.

It is a difficult decision to choose the right school for your child.
