My son is now studying at YC Yr.2 programme so I know a bit of this school.  

YC offers both international stream and mainstream programmes.   Kids study at the international one most likely will continue their schooling in YC primary then secondary.  Vice versa, mainstream kids normally choose traditional primary school.   I would say the mainstream programme is similar to those local kinders who have NET only.  However, YC mainstream offers an hour English lesson everyday but no mandarin lessons at all.  

FYI - school fee for SC is $3,300 for K1 and $3,600 for both K2 and 3.  YC (mainstream) is $4,472 for K1 to K3 but all inclusive.

I also aware that your girl has been accepted by Kentville - Dorset Cresent Campus... so as to my son.  However, I am still thinking which kinders suit my son the most.

My son is studying in YC at Yr.4 class.  As I know, YC mainstream besides English lesson everyday, she also provides mandarin lesson one or twice per week.  Last year, I also considered to change my son to other kinders because of the school fee and also the distance.  Finally, I didn't change it because my son like his school very much.  I only can say, YC is a very good school.

They give priority to those who study in Yew Chung's kindy in enrolling to their primary school, whether s/he is from international or mainstream.

How are you ? Haven't seen you for a while. I am also trying to make a decision about schools. It's very much a choice between St. Cat and Yew Chung. I met one of the K2D mom the other day who told me you know quite a bit about Yew Chung Kindie. Do you want to share your thinking process here ?

School fee for mainstream AM/PM class increased to $4825 for 12 instalment; for International whole day class is $9400.  My boy has been studying in YC from Yr.2 class.  We chose Skippers (K1) for him when he was three years old.  The class was used billigual teaching. One local teacher add one English spoken teacher.  After the programme, parents could choose to continue their children's study in international or mainstream for their Yr.4.  As I know, the students who graduated from mainstream programme(says Yr.5) were accepted by different kinds of schools eg. DBS,DPS,Creative Primary,HKGUA,Lasalle etc. It all depends on the selection of parents and also the ability of the students.  Of course, in international class, most of them will graduate to YC's primary school.  And some of them will go to other international schools i.e. ESF

噢!  原來YC都唔係太貴 (HALF DAY) 喎, 不過我都懶得再搞喇, 睇下亞仔明年讀ST. CAT讀成點先再決定要幫佢轉校與否啦!

1. Do u know if most applicants will apply for the mainstream in this school?
2. Do u know that if the school will accept their KG mainstream students to study in their primary?
3. Do u know if the students who studied in KG mainstream class will feel hard to continue their study in YC primary school?
4. Do u know if the school still accept applicants for K1 now?

I think not too many applicants, cos many parents don't want to spend much money or may be they want their children to study traditional primary school in future.

All mainstream students can go to YC primary school, said by headmastress.

It accept applicants now. You can visit there web-site to download the application form.

朋友有兩個鄰居的女兒都是耀中出品,兩個都勁乖勁有禮貌,文武皆好;都剛升讀德望。連我friend的媽媽亦忍不住問她們讀那間幼稚園,將來給她的孫仔/女報讀。
不過艾菲的好似是仔仔,德望唔多適合。
