女女今年升year 9, 而家讀緊嘅學校今年GCSE 同 A level 都唔算太好。就GCSE 唻講， 有大概20%同學係 Grade 7-9, A level 就有76% 係 A-B。

就亞女year 8 嘅成績唻睇，佢大部份科目都應該係Top 10%， 考慮緊應唔應該轉佢去另外一間學校。心目中諗緊以下2個 Option:

Option 1
明年Year 10 轉去 Caterham School

Option 2
留喺原校直至考埋 GCSE, year 12 先報 Caterham / Epsom

亞女上年喺原校都讀得開心，識到好朋友，亦開始習慣學校 routine。學校活動都算多元化，返學方便 （佢係Day student)

揀 Caterham 同 Epsom 係因為近屋企，可以做 Day student, 慳返啲啲。但都有諗過揀遠啲嘅 boarding school, 主要考慮係咪真係可以幫到個女入好嘅大學。

有時學校啲成績好波動，如果因為一年差就轉校，有啲無謂，另外，你個女又少咗批熟嘅同學，係好大嘅犧牲

其實唔係好明個問題喺邊。

你係擔心個女keep唔到top 10％成績？

定係擔心學校成績會進一步下跌，到連top 10%都攞唔到8/9或者A level攞唔到A/A*？

讀書睇小朋友自己喎？唔會轉咗學校就神奇哋升呢喎？

暫時我都同意呢個 approach，GCSE 好似都尚可以，但學校大學 placement 嘅support 好似唔多足夠，所以傾向 Lower Sixth 先轉

其實佢學校個 trend 都唔係太好，係COVID 嗰兩三年升左，睇返 covid 前同而家差唔多。

問題係學校整體成績好啲，唔代表教學質素一定好啲喎，只係代表收生門檻高啲。如果想轉而新學校又收，代表你女本身有能力，咁佢留喺舊校好可能都會考到好成績。我認為大家太神化學校學術增值能力，成績好嘅學校只係收到底子好嘅學生。反而真係好嘅學校，係學術外俾到更多俾學生。

我明白你嘅說法呀。其實亞女喺學校都讀得開心，識到好朋友。感覺佢嘅同學都勤力嘅，讀書氣氛都唔錯。只係擔心整體成績要求唔高，怕個女會無上進心，唔知外面世界競爭有幾大。

但係我見個女喺度讀左一年都開始適應，都唔忍心要佢轉校，唯有叫佢自己俾多啲心機，lower sixth 再考慮轉校。

我冇話轉好定唔轉好。不過如果係諗住轉咗對成績有幫助，咁除非而家讀得好唔開心，或者讀唔掂。

大家都係考同一個校外試，大家都可以攞到past paper參考。只要唔係教唔晒，唔同學校嘅老師真係分別不大，反而個別老師（唔理邊間學校）同個小朋友夾唔夾仲緊要。

咁係咪冇原因去轉校呢？我認為如果另一間學校提供嘅活動／設備更好咪值得囉。即係我講嘅課堂以外嘅嘢...
