As far as I know if you study in overseas and use domestic identity to apply medicine school, it is not easy,the quota is different (ask agent) .  Many finds the interview questions hard as the interviewer will ask question relating to the domestic happening.  
Most of my friends use as international student

多謝你嘅資訊，我好喜歡睇大學收生要求和細節，英國以外我都鍾意睇，唔同科我都8掛，知識來的。

其中一間澳洲大學，今年2月入學，收左120 domestic students, 30 international students。

英國就鎖左7%收國際生，請問：澳洲有係無指定幾多%呢？

Yes, you are absolutely right. It is much harder to get admitted if you are citizens. Besides higher requirements on academic performance, the interview focuses on a lot of, as reasonably expected, local topical issues which are hard for candidates whom have been residing overseas to handle. The issue for us is we have no choice. If one has Australian citizenship, one will be placed in the domestic student  queue and cannot go for the international process even if we are willing to pay the international fees.

在澳洲嗰thread話citizen有D case都可以冇什麼grant,比int’l 貴學費. 可過嗰邊望望…

入澳洲大學undergrad medi, 三科A Level（包chem)得唔得？

Yes, after further research, we understand some universities have full fee paying domestic students intake in recent years, they are called non-CSP (Commonwealth Support Places). We may need to look at that but probably after results announcement given there are still sufficient time for Jan 2025 entry.

On the subject of whether you can apply with 3 ALs, 如果以international students status 我唔清楚因為冇喺呢方面睇過， 但如係citizen/PR,  UNSW med 收24 分，conversion table 喺A* = 6, A = 5, B = 4…, 所以一定要讀4科同攞4A*, 我見你喺另一個post 問Monash, 相信要求亦差不多因為Monash 係Victoria undergrad top med school, Melbourne U 主收post grad admissions, 所以讀三科應該唔得，相信international students requirement 有機會寬鬆啲，最好直接向心儀大學問清楚。

Last year, at my daughter’s school, a girl who is a citizen, achieved 4A* but still didn’t get in UNSW. On the other hand, a friend’s son got into Monash as an international student three years ago with IB 42.
