我仔入學好久都唔清楚邊個識講廣東話，上中文堂分組先知邊個普通話講得好。

如果校園多講母語，英文環境一定唔係咁好，都建議盡快轉校。

以前讀幼稚園，全班7成本地人，一兩個mainlanders，再有一兩個其他國籍, 每次去學校觀課或者參加活動，只會聽到英文，playdate小朋友別只會用英文

依家讀小學，亦都係每次去學校無論indoor定playground 都只聽到英文，因為佢哋已經習慣咗用英文溝通，特別係有唔識講中文小朋友嘅場合，係一個norm大家要用英文溝通

有些多國內人的IS playground Lang 會有PTH, 至於大陸台灣其實好多IS playground lang都是mandarin

agree! 我仔間IS都無呢個情況，全部default講英文，反而有時我哋家長同佢哋講返自己mother language佢地會覺得唔好意思用mother language答。我諗你呢個情況容易出現於新開IS或者比較本地化IS? 是否KIS？

Yes, they don’t even know / bothered to check out who speak what languages at home. English should be their built-in language for communication, they speak English even when they talk with school amahs or staff who speak Cantonese with each other.

My Korean friend’s son is in esf. She told me her boy was the only Korean in the whole grade because very few of them could pass the English assessment during interviews. So you can imagine what the language environment would be like to have “many” Korean kids in a class.

有大陸，個巴基斯坦，泰國又有本地，算係幾MIX。其實，未必係歧視問題，係小學雞問題。

去到一個年紀，可能鍾意攪小圈子，本地學校都會有。

不過，過一陣可能又無事。小朋友都要鍛鍊自己的Character，面對rejection，唔好一味要埋堆。

Korean kids also have Local Korean or ABK....language are different !! One Korean colleague with family has American passport, kids was educated in the US of the English is good !

其實你孩子的情況不算什麼種族或任何歧視問題吧，不用擔心得太要緊。分班問題不是也應信任學校專業嗎？

假設一班18-20人，班上有幾位韓籍學生，他們會埋堆有何問題？要打散他們在不同課室就達到樓主所説你的孩子可以找到朋友？

讓孩子在學校自然成長和交友，不要做過度直升機。

話說我小朋友轉校一個月，本地+內地小朋友較多，被bully既係一位外籍女孩。

本來以為細校人少會融洽d，實際是家長小圈子，班上小孩排除異己，埋唔到堆，以前一班有十個朋友，現在得一個。真係唔入去讀唔知，唔好以為係天堂。

以前一班有十個朋友，現在得一個－－係指你小朋友？

如果係剛插班，會有d適應期，慢慢相處吓又會好好多。有時小朋友之間的相處，人與人的chemistry 好難講，突然friend起來亦話唔埋。

Playground 不說英文，如何發展出英文為第一語言的能力？

My girl’s grade has at least 2 Koreans but they all sound like native.

The more bizzare a thing is, the less mysterious it proves to be.

無可能接受。如果間IS的playground language係家鄉話，咁我會揀過另外一間。

認識好幾個大陸讀IS的小朋友，都係出名的IS，但英文就唔够好，好大原因可能係同學之間根本少講英文，

I know two Korean kids who speak native English, One from US(now in HKIS), one born in HK(now in esf).
