美國U睇校內成績

仔仔讀IB, 想去美國讀書。我都睇咗好多資訊，知道美國U都好注重校内成績。不過佢地用gpa, 但我仔仔學校係冇用gpa, 只係用IB 嘅1-7, 美國U點access IB校內分？convert to Gpa? How?
有冇有經驗家長分享吓通常d top U 要求IB 校內成績係幾多？當然隨咗成績top u 重要睇Eca, leadership etc, 不過想知起碼成績要點先有機會。

Additional to what you said (美國U都好注重校内成績 for the past 4 years, IB PG, ECA, special skill etc), your son also need to take SAT I, SAT Subjects test, or some AP.  Experience schools in HK (LS or IS) will know how to transfer their result to GPA score in their transcript. Don't worry, those schools have lot of experience to help their students making their college application in US.

Thank you so much for your information. Yes, we will be seeking help from the school counselor but just want to review our choices and chances before we decide if we even want to start this process as you know US units application takes up lots of energy and time.  My son has already taken ACT and SAT subject tests and got pretty good results. However, his school grades are not stellar but I have no way to assess his chances, even on very general terms, because all the statistic I can find are based on GPA, hence the question on how US units assess school grades on the IB scales.  If anyone has more insight on this, it will be much appreciated.
