Any children has participated the above event. I heard from the teacher that there are 500 children enrol for the class 1.

I am afraid the deadline for joining the competition has already passed as the preliminary screening(due to too many participants) for Class 1 will be held on this Sunday.

yes, all the children in my daughter's class have joined. I've scheduled at 4:15pm, how about others? Does anyone know how many candidates will be selected to enter the Prelimary?

I don't know the exact number. My son's schedule is at 3pm.

I heard from TL personnel that in the previous year they will pick 5 candidates out of each group.  Since Class 1 has around 500 participants this year, they will consider to pick more than 5 this year ,however, not more than 10.  Therefore, maybe 10 out of 500       

Anyway, I will tell my son to go out there and have fun, it will be a very good experience to him.

thanks for the info. do you mean they will pick 5or10 to the final or to the prelimary. I know there will be another around scheduled on 19 Jun, and the final will be in Jul. I guess 5 or 10 candidate is for the final.

Sorry for the misleading, 5 or 10 is for the final.  For preliminary, they said they will probably pick around 1/5, that means, around 100.  However, they haven't decided on the final no. yet.

Thanks. Which class is your son in? my daughter just started book 4, so she picked two songs from book 3. Does Class 1 include JMC students only?

My son's class is learning Book 2 now, so he chosen two songs from Book 2.  I think Class 1 only include JMC students.

I dont think we stand much of chance in winning the competition. My view is the same as you, just let my daughter gain some experiences and have fun in playing to public.

Result has been posted on the website. There are 99 sucessful participants to enter the forthcoming Prelimary. My son was failed.
