But are you sure your maid's English is correct?
my old maid likes to say
1.  " play to " your friends and not "play with"",
2.   a lot of "ok la",
3.  put your things in your "bug" and not "bag"


Not only do they not pronounce properly, they can't spell, their expressions are wrong, their grammar is wrong, and the tone of voice when speaking English is also wrong.

I would rather my child pick up my Chinese accent English then picking up Filipino accent English.
