My son was also in PTH class last year (only one class in P2) and this year he has been enrolled into it as well (2 classes in P3). The Chinese subject will be taught in Mandarin, the teacher's PTH is definitely not HK PTH, it's very 純正 as I heard my son read out the book. In the class, the students are required to answer questions in PTH, and Chinese dictation is read out in PTH.  According to the parents' meeting, if the students cannot catch up with PTH after one year's training, they may be rejected to study in PTH class.

But 709394 said if the coming P1 is all PTH class, then the child doesn't need to attend the screening test, you just need to ensure your child can understand PTH.

各位家長：

原來此標題走了入來「小學討論區」，多謝janetc提醒，否則，收不到高班家長的分享呀。

學校也取錄她去讀普通話試驗班(P.2)。聽了高班家長的分享，明白了。多謝！

話咁快又放了差不多半個月假期，過多兩個星期，小朋友便取成績表，祝大家取得滿意成績。

每次有機會接她放學，她也很羨慕一些哥哥姐姐能當選Prefect。回家有時將條布打斜放在肩上，話我知她是Prefect，好搞笑。

起初，大家也會為小朋友在密集式的學校讀書，他們能否應付得到而擔心，一瞬間，又一年了，我無特別安排小女補習，只有參加學校星期六的普通話話及英文拼音班，因其他活動抽不中。回顧小女一年，給我最深刻的 --小女的普通話，學期初與學期尾比較的大進步，純靠她自己努力。另外，我也同意高班家長的分享，小女正是一個「閱讀快車」的愛好者，她不是看得最多書的一個，但她能從閱讀中，學了很多英文生字，是父母或許要查字典。

在此，真要感謝神，讓小女能在這所學校學習，既開心，又學到知識。

My daughter will be in P.1 in SFA.  Is all the chinese subjects are teach in PTH?
I found that there are chinese and english maths book for P.1, is it teach in English or Chinese?
Anything I needed to be noted for the coming years?

My son told me that he meet many classmates and new friends.  He write down the telephone and call for play and study.  

We will go Ocean Park This sat  for day trip.

My son found he gets a nice class teacher in 3B.  Hooray!!!
