HKU Additional Subject Requirement - IB

"Candidates not taking local examinations are expected to fulfil these subject requirements at equivalent level."

Anybody knows if Standard Level meets subject requirement. Or Higher Level is required?  Do I need to clarify with individual Faculty or ask the Admission Office?

Send an e-mail to the faculty for enquiry. I had the experience that they were friendly and forthcoming.

My kid is struggling with her choice of IGCSE subjects which of course will affect her subsequent choice of IB subjects.

Her school also sets a max of 10 subjects, so she may not be able to take some subjects that she loves.  So sad.

They listed out different requirements for languages and specific requirements in the website,  I posted the specific requirements in above post.

She will take Chinese this year (Y9) and another language exam in Y10.
That leaves her with 8 exams in Year 11.

She loves all Arts and Humanities.
In terms of Science, she excels in Biology because she has a very good memory.
Physicsi s the weakest but she is advised to take it as she is thinking the Architecture profession.
Seems like it is not a subject requirement of HKU but I need to do some further checking with other overseas universities.
To leave more doors open, Chemistry and Physics sound better.

I’ve heard that other kids take ICT outside school as it is exam based.
In any case she has no room to take Drama and Music.
She will take Visual Arts.
