想入ICS

I want to get my twins to go to ICS.  Would appreciate if soemone could advise me the following:
1. I assume attending their kindergarten will yield greater chance of admission to Grade 1.  But do other kindergartens also have high chances of getting in?  And what are they?
2. How about playgroup for the preparation to ICS kindergarten?  Any recommendations?

Thanks!  But does anyone who got in shared how they got in?  What preparation they went through or what are the stepping stones?

我個女係插班(upper elementary)。所以不太了解Kindy 的情況。不過我有兩個朋友的小朋友考過，都唔成功！所以無乜tips比到你，sorry！

Each year ICS only take a few kids (should be less than 10 from oither kinder to P1)

2. How about playgroup for the preparation to ICS kindergarten?  Any recommendations?
Kids that can communicate well in English will be easier to enter ICS kinder. Therefore playgroup that allow kids to listen and speak English with native speaker will be good to prepare kids to have better English skills.

hoeve, thanks much for the advice!  Are your kids going to ICS?  May I know what are those english speaking playgroups?  Any good ones you'd recommend?  Sorry for asking so many questions, as I want to research and know more.  Thanks much in advance!

It's OK. My girl is studying in ICS elementary now. It's really a very good school. I think which playgroup is not a matter. Any good one is Ok. She went to gymboree and Alison Letterland when she was small. I know many ICS kids went to Tutor time before going to ICS kinder.

English proficiency is very important.
Kids got in are mostly from Tutor Time/Anfield/Boxhill

I think the key to get into any international schools (kindy and P.1) is proficiency in English, and the kid is out spoken.  I would never 'prep' a toddler for school interviews, cos it would only create pressure on the kid.

My son got admitted by ICS (many years ago) and other international schools because he can understand and communicate in English, and he did not cry and he did speak up. That's all.

I appreciate the fact that international schools do not have model answers for interviews. During the ICS interview, my son even said "why you asked so many questions? I am very tired". This might be a fatal answer in local school interviews, but when i heard the teacher telling me this conversation with a smile on her face, I knew my son had passed the interview.

想請教現時有小朋友在ICS就讀既家長, 我想比小朋友入讀本士課程既小學, 打好中文底子, 而中學想報讀ICS, 請問你地知唔知, 咁既情況下, 個小朋友應該完成左小六既課程才入ICS, 定係讀完小五之後就接住ICS呢?

有位同學的姐姐在Maryknoll讀完小六想轉lCS，佢細佬係lCS讀緊較低班，lCS都唔收，話姐姐英文程度未達水準

I know a girl that studied in MCS until P5 and went on to ICSmy daughter finished F3 in MCS and will be going to ICS after the summer
