N2 - is nursey class for 2 years old baby
K1 - is first year of kindergarten for child's age at around 3 years old.

K2 and K3 follow after K1 for child's age at 4 and 5 years old respectively.

You are right.  Thanks for correcting me, I confuse N2 with N1.  I mean N1 infact when I am saying N2.

Sorry for making you confuse, I know a lot of Nursey named their classes as N1, K1, K2, K3.  Do you know a specific Nursey who has classes named as N1, N2, N3, N4.

I'm afraid you are wrong again.

Nursery are N1-N4, e.g 救世軍幼兒園, 香港保護兒童會幼兒園.

I guess those N1,K1-K3 are actually Kindergarden.

thanks for correcting me, could you tell me more that is there any different about the course contents between N1-N4 and N1, K1-K3 ?  Would it be difficult for a child graduated from N1-N4 to adapt school life or catching up with the academic standard in P1 ? (I say so because N-class gave me a impression of being less serious)

Being a first time parent myself, can't help u on that.  Based on what others have said, K3 students may perform better in P1, but in P2/3, N4 students perform the same as K3, if not better.

Maybe u can admit ur BB to Nursery first and then decide later whether u want her to transfer to KG.

I have registered for N1 for my son this year, do I need to transfer him to K1 next year or stay for N2?

It is not a requirement for kids below 6 to attend nusery or kindergarden.  

And it's up to u to decide whether u want to kid to study in K1 or N2 later.

Since ur kid has already registered in a nursery, why not use this year to see if the nursery is good enough for ur kid till P1?

For me, if the nursery could help my kid in various development and build up the interest in reading/explore/express/schooling etc, I would let her to stay in that nursery till P1, unless there's a kinder that is good and also has an associated primary school that would guarantee to admit her for P1.
