BTW, how's the performance of your bb during interview? I just wonder how would they choose since the interview time was just 2-3 mins! And maybe most of the kids can finish the task!
I remembered that the teacher asked if my kid has any serious illness before & need to stay in hospital! Does it mean they prefer healthier kid?

Me too! No hope then! My kid can finish all the tasks actually!
But from my experience!, it's not the criteria for acceptance!
So only can take it easy!
alison_bb, why you like/choose this school?

And I remember the teacher said in the briefing of the interview that since places are limited, so for those bb who are not accepted by the school are also smart but only that the school didn't have sufficient places! I think that's true!

I don't think religion is not the criteria of acceptance. We didin't go to church at the time of interview. We left the Religion column blank. Yet, my girl still got an offer.

其實要看媽咪想比/要求小朋友學D咩!!! 之前, 我是很想女兒在語言方面(如英文) 好些, 結果選擇了一些比較在語言方面進取的學校 (如: York)

但經過看了很多參考書, 發覺小朋友應該在這階段是學認知、探索、如何接觸社會、社交等等, 功課壓力、讀書認字其實遲少少都會學到..... 自己又想她過一個開心的童年, 所以選擇了一間有少少名氣、有愛心及開心的幼兒園給她, 希望她"愛"上返學

我都希望是這樣.......不過香港教育制度很古怪, 入小學有宗教背景是有分加, 所以自己覺得幼稚園都可能是 (又例如有朋友想教幼稚園當老師, 但原來有些學校要求老師要有宗教信仰一樣)

I am also struggling in this issue! My hubby prefers language development (& so he prefers York) while I'm afraid that my kid would lose the only "happy" time in bb stage (PN)!

Then did you apply York?

I don't like the 5 mark religion mark for P1 enterance as well. I think it doesn;t relate to HK education system but the invisible "force" from churches.

My girl loves going to school very much. She's still sleeping when I change school uniform with her in winter time, but she's excited when she see the school bus! That's enough for us. She ask (or force!) us to read books and tell stories to her at home, so we don;t expect school teach her too much knowledge. Happy childhood is important for her. She will have a lot of time to study in future!
