如果大抽獎, 我會選學位較多的學校, 機會好像大一點~ 不過同意樓上所說, 北官確實麻麻, 因有朋友的仔在讀緊~

打錯咗校名都可以估到~ 但 net 14 真是沒有 "循道衛理",  "循道"有兩間, "衛理"有兩間, 你清楚, 人地唔清楚呢~ 所以咪無人答你囉~~

62-67% students are band 1, my son graduated from NPMPS. (Banding only for students, not for schools.)

今年小一.....一班30-32人, 聽聞每班好似有9個男生, 比起以前比例多左

Sorry my Chinese  writing pad is not working.

Wukong >75% goes to band 1 secondary. Even better than Wai Lee half day, 65-70%.  But Wukong drills a lot, lots of homework, recite poems and projects. Life is much happier in Wai Lee half day, with only minor difference in %, I will choose Wai Lee if my kid is not drilling material. But it only has 60 seats for am school, 60 for pm.

北角循: old bulding, but 55% goes to band 1. kind teachers. 100seats.

丹拿山循: new buidling, but under40% goes to band 1 . Strict teachers and only 75 seats, less than北角循.

I check the 滬江小學 website, 75% only for first choice in allocation, not band 1.http://www.sap.edu.hk/CustomPage/openInIFrame.aspx?webPageId=11&nnnid=13

I think NPMPS has more band 1 students % than 滬江小學.

I went to all 4 schools' open days for 2 years or more. The average is more reliable than one particular year.

Also, top choice of some  weak students may not be band 1 school already. The 75% you said is top 3 choices, so I think the 3 rd choice is not likely a band 1 school.

I made an excel speedsheet to track how may went to each school and do not include so called band 1 that has only one all English class and 3 Cantonese classes (1 out of 4 is not really band 1 standard, agree?). In conclusion, the 2 year data shows Wukong is better than NP Wai Lee (Wai Lee included some 1/4 English schools in their band 1 calculation). Old Chun Dao is 3rd and Dan Chung is 4th.

ps. I ruled out NP Govt Primary and Pao Mai due to personal reasons. Traditional Schools do not fit my over-active naughty son. 3 years ago their band 1 % is under 40%, but I have not collected their data (Govt Primary and Pao Mai) in the recent 2 years.

Canossa is over 60%, but they have a related girls' secondary. for boys, I will not pick that.

My son studied in NPMPS, I know Net 14 pretty well including Shanghai Alumni.

You can check the data in the link I provided, better than your memory years ago. Some schools in the left hand column are "Band 1", all on right column are "Band 2 & 3".

I give you and other parents a suggestion, go to khmama's table and identify "Band 1" schools and you can see 75% may not true.

I bracket Band 1 as you also know, eventually no banding for schools, banding only for students. So the 1st choice not necessary related to "Banding of schools".
