Dear all,

It's a relief to find you parents here coz I realize that I am not the only one who is being frustrated for the same matters.

My girls is in 1A2 and let me share some of her school life.

She did not bring any gift home or send out any gift at school. Guess kids have different ways in socializing with their peers.

My girl has the ordered school lunch at school and she finishes her meal almost everyday. She is a big eater and she said she can have refill of rice or noodle only once each meal and she does it everyday. But she brings home an orange or an apple sometimes when she cannot finish it at lunch.

She have joined the table tennis group on Wednesday after school and the first practice seemed fun.

I totally agreed that the school should introduce additional teaching resources to parent in a more organized and professional manner. I don't mind to pay some extra dollar for additional resources but the school has to let us know how much are they going to introduce altogether at least.

Maybe we should find some way to let the school know about our concerns. Hope we can find out more on tomorrow's seminar.

do kids need chinese dictation the coming Monday? as there is no notice, but in the past, they said that every week have Chinese dictation?

好開心見到咁多P1 家長.
我同大家一樣已經俾咗$336參加英文課程, 另外, 又訂咗英文報紙, 打算俾呀女有個好習慣睇多D英文. 剛剛派個D網上課程. 我個女實在冇咁多時間去玩/學. 每日放學後, 洗澡, 做功課, 温習, 有時睇下故事書已經用哂佢D時間. 八點半上床. 現有學校個eclass web site呀女都冇咩時間入去. 所以我都唔打算參加住. 遅D如果真係有時間, 到時再報.

食飯方面, 湘頤每日都可以食哂學校準備D食物(水果除外).不過每日返到屋企, 佢都好似好肚餓咁 :D

Hi mothreotk,

About Chinese dictation, I got a notice before which said that three days after the kids did their 小小書法家, there will be a dictation on those five words.

The notice said that in the future, the teacher will not remind the students every time before dictatio. Last week, my girl wrote a reminder down on her handbook before the dictation. It was in the middle of the week.I guess the Chinese dictation day is not fixed.

I just read my girl's handbook. She is going to have dictation of "天的水星晶" on Monday. She is in 1A2. How about your kid?

Thanks Gingermama, my girl is at 1A5.. she have already finished the dictation on 天的水星晶, just wondering what will be next 5 words as the writing book has been in teacher's place..

last saturday on the IB curriculum seminar, I have seen teachers presenting P5 & 6 teaching strategies and two students (1 from P5 & 1 from P6) come out to present on the "transdisciplinary learning", , what about your boy's experience on that in the past two years? or you can pm me...

佢仲話高老師有時會問佢地課文的普通話讀音, 識同唔識的同學仔就分組, 佢講得唔係好清楚, 大約係咁, anyway, keep posting
