I heard from my daughter it's tomorrow, but I didn't check.  Should be this week since she told me they started new theme for 德育之星.

Thank you  Ian, 我聽我女講都係話星期五先派, 我好緊張呀, 好驚佢拎唔到, 雖然佢上年拎到過3次, 但我今年覺得佢無上年表現咁好。

haha, same here but don't be too nervous lar!  She claims she is behaving well in the kindergarten but at home......  may be her young sister starting to affect her more.  


Look at it positively, may be not getting it the first time will help them to know they need to do better the rest of the year.  May not be bad so I don't worry too much about it.

講得啱, 上年第一期我無預佢拎到, 結果拎到, 我當然好開心啦, 跟住第2期就會有所期待, 到第3期阿女失手拎唔到, 除左佢失望之外, 我自己都失望呀, 咁我就同阿女講下次要努力, 好彩第4期又拎返, 仲有個章可以紀念, 兩母女都好開心。

I guess the most important thing from 德育之星 is that they can learn how to manage their expectation and emotion!  Sometimes I think for the parents it is hard to believe their children are not receiving a particular one, however, sometimes the children need to learn to experience this process, and also, they can then know there are still room for them to improve.  I guess I prefer it this way rather than the more common way nowadays where they keep praising the kids.

just my own personal view.

I agreed . 有時失敗過先明白如何努力, 好似阿女專心個環, 早兩個月個個月都要俾老師圓圈, 經過幾多次哦佢及鼓勵怇, 佢先乖乖坐低聽書, 連續3個星期都全剔, 我非常安慰。

This year, it is a new 勳章 which says what they have done well.  In the past, we only have the same one over the year.  You guys are lucky!

"what they have done well", so specific? i told kayla over the phone that she shall keep the "medal" in good shape so that i could see after work.  she said,"mommy, it's not paper made but plastic....." is it true?

I assume that means the current theme.  But I haven't seen it yet!  May be Shannon doesn't have it this time, not back home yet.

It is definitely not paper.  In the past it is kinda plastic+metal.  Like a pin.
