Don't worry, I noted that at least one Catholic school has already stated in their 交表注意事項 (自行分配) that they would check the 領洗紙 issued overseas.  The applicant will have to take the cert to 本堂神父 for endorsement.  I trust that the schools would take the necessary action to verify the cert.

Thank you!  Very informative indeed!

I think all these cases have to be assessed on a case-by-case basis, e.g. being baptised outside HK may not necessarily means you should not be entitled to the 5 marks; it depends on the circumstances.  

People like me who are non-believers are probably believed to be more impartial and thus more convincing on this matter - believers may be regarded as "existing beneficiaries".

I just want to learn more about the process.  

It's fair for non-believers like me who support continuation of these 5 marks to ensure the religious schools award the marks fairly and reasonably.  

The issue is with fake believers and their behaviour should not turn believers and non-believers against each other.

If we are believers, we need to prove to the school and we know the requirements of the target school. Only non-believers query the process, eventually, none of their business:D

My comment is not against you, sorry for causing the misunderstanding.

Most of your questions are valid and help to identify what's the issue and provide some positive recommendations like verification.

I try to explain the process in detail because not many people shared their process here and may cause misunderstanding to most non-believers.

計分者只佔20%,

必收生 (即兄姊正在就讀) 才是佔30 %

其實...正正常常係香港既教會洗到禮，好少係求其上個COURSE就攪得到既事，正所謂一入“耶門”深似海....有好多代價的...當然恩典就更多...

不過唔講宗教分，一個小孩同家人如果係教會成長，持續參與教會生活一兩年以上，其實對小生命成長有好大造就...起碼...番教會係唔駛考亦唔駛$的...

至於個5分，其實其他宗教既信眾或者作為辦學團體既成員都可以攞到既...(當然係要MATCH間學校），而並唔係“耶教分”來....
