如果想小朋友入讀英普班 ... k1 interview雖要識普通話嗎?

if for St. Cat and HKPS, yes. If for LH, not a must.

If you apply for the Eng/PTH class of St Cat, the interview will be conducted in 2 sessions, one in English and then the other one in PTH.  From my experience last year, the PTH interviewer also asked me several questions in PTH so you may also need to get prepared.

I don't know what exact level(s) of PTH the interviewer is really looking for but at least both the parent and the child are expected to understand PTH, ie understand what they say.  I think if the parent and child have limited exposure to PTH and never communicate in PTH at home, it may create more pressure at the interview.

PTH interview focus on:
name, age, gender, basic animals, fruit and body parts. If can't answer anything, prepare 1 simple PTH song to 'get the score'. Good luck!
