May I ask if someone can help to answer my queries about studying in Singapore International School (Primary Section).

• does the school fee cover the enhancement subjects?
• are all subjects taught by English except Chinese Language?
• any other fees other than the annual school fee?
• the standard of Chinese Language as comparing with IS and traditional local school?
• would there have Eng, Chin and Maths classes everyday?

3. Yes. Annual Capital Levy $6,000.
4. I don't know because I never studied in other schools.
5. DEFINITELY yes!
Please note that I am a student and I confirmed the information of Question No. 3  from my mother.

It is not compulsory, but it is strongly advised. PY1, PY2, P1 and P2 are by invitation, P3+ can choose for themselves, though, as I said, it is strongly advised.

I am studying happily in SIS. It is fun in school during recess, but it is also fun during lessons. My classmates are well-behaved and the teachers are friendly.

English teachers are mainly western, and the chinese teachers, of course, are chinese, but I cannot tell one accent from another.

But it is funny that you cant tell the accent, because even among native speakers like Americans, Australians and British, they speak so differently and use different words etc.

he/she said he/she is a p2 student, that is not bad for a p2.

maybe a p2 can't really tell accents.

How do you know that he/she is a P2 student?

I was suprised when I first read his /her message, I had wanted to post a comment that the english ability is good.

"I am a student studying in SIS. I am in P2. I went through 4 English teachers and they all spoke English well. My PY1 English teacher is a Canadian Chinese, Mrs Shawcross was my PY2 English teacher and my P1 and P2 English teachers both come from New Zealand. Occasionaly my fellow students speak "Singlish" but they are corrected by the English teachers, so I don't think it is a problem."

作為一個家長，人地係小朋友，無論英文係very good/good/fair/no good，應該以鼓勵態度，而唔係以猜疑之心去推敲。
仲有，扮鬼扮馬好辛苦o架!露出馬腳會俾人圍剿!
以上也純屬個人意見。

Tks for the clarification.    So may be he/she is a P2 student.  I had no intention of criticizing his/her English but was surprised he/she cldnt tell the difference before knowing his/her age.
