Lingnan (PN) is quite good

any idea about Lingnan kindergarten......
my friend's son is studying at Lingnan Kindergarten PN....her recommendation is quite good :
1. teachers are very care about students
2. they have very intensive training in chinese (they teach at least 1 chinese book per wk)
3. very spacious in campus

my son is studying there now and i would say the teachers are indeed quite nice and caring. they focus on chinese training but there's an english session three days a week. campus is clean but i wouldn't say too spacious. i thought children could go to an outdoor playground at the rooftop regularly before school started but later found out that PN students only got to go there a few times a year (teachers say it's a long walk for them).

but after all, i think it's a pretty nice nursery!

My son got an offer.  I would like to know the opinion on Ling nam primary school and is it that the primary school will admit all kindergarten students?  Appreciate more sharing on this school.  Thanks.

Both of my sons are studying at Ling Nam kind and they have very happy school lives and the teachers are loving and caring. The amt of homework is not as high as some of the kind in Kowloon but we believe that's beneficial to the kids in the long run. In the short run though it may be at disadvantage in P1 interview cause so schools require simple maths, words spelling etc...
Lingnan primary is also a good school and have very positive feedbacks from parents of current primary school students. The allocation of secondary school place is also quite good- I understand some got places in St Stephen Stanley and St Paul Co-ed

Thanks for sharing.  One follow-up issue that I would like to know.  Is it the practice of Ling Nam Primary that they will admit all Ling Nam Kindergarten students?  I understand that there may be some type of assessment but historically how was the situation?

problems, requiring special education then this may be different. 1 thing to act parents of Lingnan Kind usually let their child studying in DSS or private schools or ISF or international schools instead of waiting for government school allocation unless the  parents are alumni of Top subsidised school like St. Joseph / St Stephen's Girls

Lingnan emphasis balance development instead of focus on Eng+PTH (like many kowloon tong's)...which i agree because most parents will arrange outside english playgroup/ phonics, which helps them in language....if everything (incl. kindergarten) only focus on language, some developments will be missing....

one more important is that they teach students are very polite.....students always say "thank you" and "sorry" in PN level.....

Which grade that both your sons are currently studying at Ling Nam?  My son is now in PN, apparently, Ling Nam is a very good school comparing to Victoria (the PN school that my elder daughter went to).  May I ask some questions about the homework.  

1.  How many pieces of homework everyday for K2 and K3? In terms of pages.

2.  Do they learn to do addition in K2 or K3?

3.  When do they start to write Chinese and English?

4.  Does the school offer after school activities for students to join?

5.  Do you know how's their primary school allocation result last school year?  I couldn't find this piece of info at their website or their school.
