my son ask me, they talk to him in spanish as well

You friend may have to speed up.  As far as we understand, SMC would send acceptance letter to those  the school sees fit shortly after the interviews.  Unlike other DSSs, the school won't wait until they interview the last applicant and then decide who are to be accepted.

Hence, you may learn from this forum that some received the offer letter a few days after the 2nd interview.

我囡囡31/8 1st interview, 19/9 收到學校電話21/9 去2nd interview, 28/9 收到取錄信, 29/9 去留位
2nd interview時, 囡囡完成個人面談之後 (15 min, 主要用英文問家庭狀況, 課外活動等), 家長就一齊見與副校+主任, 最意外是她們問了一條時事題:

副: 你哋平時係咪好少同囡囡留意新聞?
答: 唔係呀, 間中有看新聞報告
副: 之前我問你囡囡, 知唔知ICC地盤發生意外, 有幾多個工人跌落嚟, 你囡囡答唔知
答: 係啊! 我哋冇講過呢個新聞比佢聽
副: 我問佢知唔知點樣可以防止在高空工作但唔趺落嚟, 你囡囡冇話用安全帶, 不過佢答"啲工人喺地下工作咪唔會跌落嚟"
之後副校笑笑口話"其實咁答都可以嘅, 不過你哋應該教佢留意多啲時事.......
最後主任講解班制, 學校注重modern language等等, 話一星期內收信, either accepted or waiting list

囡囡 portfoilio 有:
Self introductory letter
Records of ECA (dancing, music, drawing, speech and english playgroup)
Awards (school's academic award, good behaviour award, Trinity - Speech & Drama Intital Solo Distinction), she hasn't any Cambridge Cert or awards from external competitions.

另外多謝kakaloklok報料, 提我帶本書去2nd interview, 囡囡全程坐定定, 冇落過地下

We also had the 2nd interview yesterday.
The vice-principal told us that they would inform us in 1-month time.
It's really a long waiting time.

Emileleung,

Parents answered in Cantonese.  But my daughter was asked in English mainly, and also PTH (in the 1st interview) and Cantonese (in the 2nd interview).

我囡囡1st in完左成個月, 我哋又無收到信話唔收, 但又無收到通知有2nd in,咁即係點呀 ? 有無人有相同的情況呀 ?

My friend had attended the last briefing session and she told me that the school would select the child directly from the 1st interview if they were very bright.
Be relaxed, even the children don't have the 2nd interviews yet, they may still have the chance.
