Any waitlist receive call?

That's true, very hard to chose! I have the same problem with most of the moms - our first choice is SMC and 2nd choice Pui Kiu. My girl like SMC more but as we did not recieve any call from SMC, so we paid for Pui Kiu already (a few thousand!) It makes it hard for my girl as we have to prepare her for the new school and thus really need to make up our mind. She feels embrassing for can't tell her classmate which school she will study. So, what should we do? cont. to wait? I dont' mind to wait, but it hurts! Not for me, but for my girl!

其實Pui Kiu 係好好難考的, 你的小朋友真係叻先至考, 恭禧你先, 無耐每個家長要求唔同, 讀緊陳守仁p1既家長, 之前考Pui Kiu, 有一條問題問小朋友: 有條河要渡, 問d小朋友有mud方法, 佢答得好好, 連老師都說好, 點知又係考唔到.

雖然SMC既位少過TSL, 但TSL第1rd 只收百多d人, 預番30個位放係第2nd放"磅"後既 knock door seat, 但考既人相當多(不過這數字有保留) TSL 考試既過程好留水作業, 好想去讀 or 想去碰運氣家長變相很多. 我覺得每間學校既老師,會選適合既小朋友, 都唔係叻5叻既問題.

我個女可能太多野講, 做亞媽有時候想用膠紙封著佢個口.
讀得書叻既小朋友係沈實同收歛.

佢考完SMC出來同我講, 有小朋友答一支叉, 佢說不是一支"叉", 係一支分開兩節既"叉", 係"難"左啦! 唔用得, 會弄傷手指..... 佢太"支渣",  SMC 唔收佢係 arm o既!

係呀 !  考倒陳守仁,個心都定晒, 都好滿意,好開心, 若然 SMC 冇消息, 都唔會太失望, 平常心等8月1日. 取錄先算.  請問是即時取錄OR還要面試再選, 你知道嗎?

未考倒之前, 真係好担心, 因為好少聽到BK 家長有人放棄SMC, 直至LLM03, 才有番D希望.

smc位比較少競爭係大d, tsl 收生應該差不多比smc收多一倍.  不過遊戲尚未結束, 可能8月份你地會收到好消息呢, 到時再 ...

Even I'm a SMC parent, I think both Puikiu and TSL are very good school too. Why you think it's hard to tell people to get a seat in Puikiu? You know it's not easy to be admitted by  this school and it's a honor to you and yr daughter. Share some experiences with you and hope can release some of your doubt, I like Puikiu more than SMC before but I only got a seat in SMC as a lazy person of course wouldn't knock door (as I like SM too), vice versa with you :)

However, after studied for 1 yr in SMC I like this school very much since all classmates are really great and my daughter has healthy influence from them.  What my point is if your daughter finally goes to Puikiu, don't feel bad since I beleive you will love it after study for a while since TSL, SMC and Puikiu are share the same bilingual education concept. All classmates must be very smart and I'm sure your daughter will enjoy  the school life and growth in gd progress with them. Good Luck :)

Your case is similar to me.  Any decision right now ?
Will you give up Pui Kiu if accepted by SMC before P1 opening ?  If so, I wish you could get SMC seat , add oil !

Hi Pink-1,

Many thanks for your sharing !  Agree that Puikiu, TSL and SMC are good schools.  So, after getting an offer from TSL in early July, we has released a lot because TSL is our 2nd dream choice.   We now like TSL more than before.   

The reason that why I put SMC in 1st choice, I think it may because in BK all SMC parents give a lot of good comments  ( happy learning, Excellent English skills,  enjoyable ) .  Its very attactive !

tsl/ pk/smc 都係好學校, pk 有朋友兩小朋友係度, 普通話好到不得了, 而英文就一般(可能朋友要求高).

我一直都喜歡tsl, 無想過smc, 但smc的parent不斷比comment, 所以就移情別戀, 因我想囡囡是考不到tsl.

我等到8月過後,就去做校服, 買書. 我老公就鍾意smc多d, 始終都係外籍老師既問題,傾向smc多d原因.

其實係有好多人放棄了學位, 因好多拿著幾間直資, 最後某些原因唔讀, tsl 都好多人唔讀+, 佢就立即call 番d 家長.  

唔需要擔心, 我相信這裡一定有家長最後又被通知後補.
   
Mabelzero返而想吓, 到smc通知你, 你會否唔讀陳守仁, 我同你case係一樣.

I was  busy moving recently and have not visit BK for some time. I am so happy to see most of the parent had made up their final decision.  It is really really a very hard and painful decision!
Yes, of course, Pui Kiu is a good school too, and that's why I apply that for my girl. However, as I have put so much effort into SMC - writting letters, phone calls, knock door in person.....I have done so many things! So I feel so disappointed and upset for not getting in SMC! May be I need to tune my own mind too! My girl feels sorry for can't get into mami's dream school and I hope I hadn't destroy her self confident!
Hope all mom, all kids would enter the school that most suit them - whether it is SMC or not!!

Don't be disappointed.  You should think from the other angle - you have at least Pui Kiu on hand much better than those who even do not have any on hand.  

Happy to hear your girl likes SMC.  Hope we can finally get a seat.  I believe there would be some releases in Aug.  Some parents who have >1 on hand may give up eventually as they think SMC is not good enough given the lack of performance track record and the close association to the girl's college on the Hong Kong Island side.

Don't give up but don't add pressure.
