As far as understand, LS's homework is much much more than SPCC, at least for P1 and P2.  LS can provide you more exposure on sports, and SPCC on music.  SPCC is small class teaching; 30 studends per class in SPCC vs 40(??) in LS.  SPCC has much less students in total; 900 students in SPCC(now is only 750 ) vs 1920 (??) in LS.  You will have a lot more opportunities in participating the school team activities which I think it is good for the kids.

For long term perspective, I will choose LS for sure because it has 狀元 almost every year, no matter HKCEE or A-level. Its overall ranking, school environment (both primary school and secondary school) is much better as well.  Worth consider to move closer for a better school.  Plus, it is free education, better save the money for other supplement purpose.

SPCC小學是雙班主任，及由NET教英語，語境會比LS好。小一至三都無乜讀書的壓力。

I can't see how LS can be better than SPCC in its overall ranking.
Academically, SPCC is just as strong as LS, perhaps even better.
Musically, SPCC is definitely better.
Of course, LS is better at sports.
Personally, I think both schools are at the same level.
But at primary school level, the pressure is less intense at SPCC as most students can go on to their secondary school, unlike LS, where you have to be in the top 100 to be safe.

you should be choice in St. Paul's in (private) is better than St Paul's in (subsides)

完全唔需要考慮(如果學費唔係問題)﹐ 一定是SPCC。一間學校是好與否不是在乎有多少個狀元。SPCC可提供一個很好既學術環境比學生全人發展。而且學生質素比較平均﹐overall 學術成績及語文能力一定比LS好。

Agree - 多少個狀元 is definitely not a supporting argument for choosing the primary school for a kid.

If your kid is being chosen by SPCC, why don't give him a chance to try?  It is the reward of his effort in the interview rather than  luck in the lucky draw!

在坊間，有幾間特別進取的學校是會在市場上招攬人才的，LS是其中一間，她會在市場上找些音樂專才、運動專才加盟。優點是各項成績能保持高水準，缺點是會減低原校學生可發揮及出賽的機會，令到原本表現較佳的學生都祇能處於陪跑狀態，並没有發揮的機會。

SPCC相對不會作出這些市場策略以保持其競爭力。有時覺得，現在經營學校就好像在經營機構一樣，到底是喜還是悲呢？

That's why I said SPCC provides mroe opportunities for participating in school team activities.

Both are excellent schools. SPCC seems to be more prestigious judging on the family background of her students. Compared with SPCC, La Salle is more down-to-earth as her student population is more diversified, and La Salle insists not to shift to DSS or private school in order to provide quality education to students from ALL levels. Such rationale impresses me a lot and hence I would pick LS for my kid between the two.

Anyway, that's just my humble opinion and it can't be wrong as well if you opt for SPCC.
