Does anyone receive a call of SSG that to be accepted from waiting list K1 student?? Please let me know; then I would not expect so much...Thanks a lot.

My girl was on the waiting list and she was accepted by the kinder. We'll go for registration next week.

It's quite strange. I noted from the other post that your elder daughter was accepted by SSG. Why are you so concern with the waiting list?

My girl was on the waiting list and we just received the call from them as well ! We did buy uniform from SH ! We don't know how to make the decision ?! Any comment ?

Yes, my elder daughter was accepted to be their K2 student.  I am still concern it because my younger daugther was put on the waiting list of K1 student.

I think it depends on your choice of primary school. If your first choice is SH primary esp. the am session, you better study in SH kinder as they'll guarantee a seat to their kinder students. My friend's daughter is now studying in SH K3 and she is offered a seat in SH primary am next term. But she cannot go for the lucky draw.

How much do you like SSG?
In fact, i like SSG primary. Though I know that we'll not guarantee a seat in the primary, I hope we'll have a better chance in the third round if we fail in both the first and second round of the primary allocation. I also heard from my friends that SSG kinder was quite good. I was also quite surprised that the headmistress conducted the interview by herself.

由於今年增收ｋ１，而ｓｓｇ的總體學生人數不變，都是１８０人，所以實際上從今年的ｋ２開始，每年級的人數其實已經減少了不少（以前是ｋ２＼ｋ３各９０人），所以相對來說就算前兩輪都沒辦法入讀小學，第三輪叩門機會也會比現在大很多。所以我覺得還是值得一試吧？

Have you heard that the syllabus is quite simple in K1-K3 and P1-P3? If they cannot go to its primary, it will be difficult to entry other school. Do you mind about this?

我不擔心這些,其實自己覺得小孩教育光靠學校是不行的,我是全職媽媽.女兒課餘我會幫她安排一些課外活動.幼稚園能把我女兒教到認真有禮貌守紀律就很足夠了,聽說ssg非常重視品德教育,這點我很欣賞.

We received their call on Tue. My hubby likes SH as they have gurantee, but I prefer SSG rather !   Do you know the english standard in SSG primary school as it is Chinese primary school ?

I haven't asked my friend about the English standard but I think it's OK. The only thing I know it's their students are very happy. They don't have exam in P1 & P2. The school encourages their students to read books and join ECA. As told by my friend who was a graduate, the school teached their students to think critically. I like this school because I think the pressure of the students are so high as compared with some other famous school.

Have you made up your mind?

如果沒有什麼大的變動,應該9月都會去ssg上學了,大家以後交流的機會應該很多!
