I 'v booked  a visit on Friday to the school.

For those who are interested in this  school. The headmaster, though quite young, give me a very good impression. The school is like a family. The main disadvantages is that they are going to charge a levy every year starting next year.

Any more comments?  I've heard that the school is going to have a new and bigger site.  What's your decision after your visit?  Thanks for answering in advance. :)

My main concern is money. The levy is not a small amount. Babykarlson does you notice that there is a levy?

ALAL, U mean is debenture? there is Christian school, so no debenture in need. monthy school for K1 @$4100.

NIS doesn't charge any debenture.   Please check this for more information:

Just for your information, a parent PM me these questions.  I've checked with a NIS teacher, his reply is in blue.

1) Duno if it's hard to get a place in the mid-way in NIS?

Not hard at all.

2) And any secondary school as a back-up at NIS?

Most of our kids are going on to Renaissance; some to local secondaries e.g Ti-I Jockey Club College; and some to CAIS or ICS.

3) Are most of the students Hongkies or foreigners?

About 70% HK, then Japanese,  Taiwanese,  Canadian, Swedish, Australian, New Zealand.

hi,

The levy is mentioned by the headmaster on the day we visit the school. But he has not mentioned the detail on when parents need to pay the levy.

Regarding the levy, their principal proposed to the school board but they decided not to charge any.

My son is already p3 in local school, and not good in English. Though chance for entry is low, I may try the interview.

1) Does NIS propose any examinations or tests or dictations throughout the year?

2) How does NIS's homework workload on students?
