Hi Chelsea

Steven will start school at 5 years of age.  He's learnt how to count up to 100, do simple arithmetics, write all the letters and start reading story books.

I think he's pretty advanced for a 4 and a half years old.  Usually kids start schools at 5 years old here.

How are you going to cope with the younger boy going to P1 this year?  How's work anyway?  Good to see you still being employed.  That's the best wish for most HK people these days, I guess.

i could only ask her not to do such behaviour even she paid for the candies.  She later claimed her mom has a brain tumor and can't work any longer, so she resigned.

I am sure Steven is a smart and good brother.  He will soon discover the good side to have a younger brother around, to play all day long and sleep together.

Hi Chelsea

Thanks for your reply.  I have some bad news to share.  My grandpa passed away suddenly and his funeral was held today.  Steven was pretty upset about it when we told him that he would never see his great grandpa again.  I could tell that he was still upset at the funeral although he didn't make a sound or cry.  I am pleading for you guys' help here because I don't know how to break down the ice and ask him to express his feeling.  I don't know how to explain life and death to him as well.  It is difficult because my grandpa was not Christian.  Steven said that he would never see him again even when he died one day and went to heaven.

I'm pretty upset myself but I have to act strong around the family and Steven in particular.  Sigh!  This is a tough challenge for everyone.

我有個bf既仔仔今年9月會入讀呢間學校, 我想請問, 呢間學校中文堂係用國語上堂嗎? p1係傳統教學, 定還是活動教學? 如國語考試老師會否出範圍紙俾小朋友, 定要全本書要識讀, 然後每位求其抽一課讀呢? 英文/中文默書深嗎? 英文會否好似有d學校咁, 一開波(p.1)就 默16句句子? 中文又會否好似有d學校咁, 一科背默及一科讀默(同時)呢? 小朋友讀得辛苦嗎?

黑白都得ga, 不過佢地方便一至五都可以著咪黑色囉, 但星期六長週都要著黑皮鞋.

Dear parents,

My kid is now at K3 and would like to put Wa Yan for all the three choices in the lottery draw.  Is there any current Wa Yan's parents commenting on the following information :-
1.  How's the standard of languages i.e. Eng & Mandarin ?
2.  When the child has the Mandarin lession ?
3.  How is the quality of teh teachers ?  Are they keeping paces with the times ?
4.  Is it lots of test and exams ?
5.  Is it too many student in a class cas when I see the school class structure ; I found out that class 5 and 6 closes to 40 per class.
6.  Is the school building too old ?
7.  Does the school arrange enough ECA for the children as only half day lesson.
