If your kid is allergic to orange/ grapefruit/lemon, cannot take vitamin C, as vitamin C is made from orange.

Thanks st for your advice.  The food test report should be ready by end of this week and I shall then see if my son is allergic to orange/grapefruit/lemon.

Hi ultramom,

I experienced similar situation when my son started the biomedical treatment in Oct 04 and changed to soy milk.  I therefore dropped some of the supplements and reintroduced them one by one to see which one caused the problems.  It would be better for you to keep a treatment log so that you can keep monitoring which supplements work better with your son.

yes my son started the piano class at 3.  I want him to use his fingers more as his fine motor skill is poor. When he was studying at heep hong, the OT commented that his fine motor was the weakest among all areas of development.  My son cried in the session during the first month.  I almost gave it up.  Luckily, he has little progress after that and now he is very happy to go.  I do not have high expectation on my son but just want him to improve his fine motors and attention span.

Hi HayBMum,
It may be a stupid question, but if we drop one supplement, usually how many days we should wait until we can know if this supplement causes the tantrums?  We've tried to drop some supplements and waited for 3 days.  It seemed like tantrums as before.

Where can I get this kind of test?  Is it a blood test or skin test?
Before his GFCF diet, he was eating nuts too.  And he loves Nutella (Hazel nut chocolate spread) and he ate that on bread very often so I assume he is not allergic to nuts.
I know very little about the allergy thing.

Dear ultramom,

Food allergy test is available from Dr. Trodd.  It's a simple blood test and only a few drops of blood are required.  You better ask Dr. Trodd if your son needs food allergy test.  It's not neccessary if the kid has well reponse from GFCF diet.  For the milk substitute, rice milk is safer to avoid allergic.  

Don't be too panic about the supplements.  Always starts each one low and slow then observe any side effect before introducing a new one.
