I was very tired . Too much patients admit in the recent days.It is very harsh to handle the ward beds .I missed a lot of notices from school.:cry:

I will start the 5-days week in the  middle of Feb. How about U? Actually, the workload must increase, but it is good to have one more day off.
I hope I can swab the duty on Sunday and go to Preston's birthbay party.Ka Ka remind me for several time.

Lydia, my colleague , William (Japanese-mixed) ask U phone to him. He can give a good suggestion for travelling.  

The children are very happy to play the drum.

Thanks to your friend in advance, will talk to you on Sunday (actually we plan to go in the summer, so there is no rush). Thanks again for your help.
For our cluster, only PYNEH has started 5-day work and we don't hear any news from our hospital yet. For me, it's just a half day difference so I don't really mind. The weather changes a lot so I guess it's normal to have lots of admissions. Are you in medical ward?

Thanks for your advice.  I read this skill before from books.  However, it's not easy to ask everyone in my house to follow.  Now, we try to tell Brian before we hold baby sister and play with her.  It seems that Brian's reaction is more gentle.  Maybe he just wants to be informed before we take care of the baby.  :)

It's good to know that you can soon have one more day off every week.  Then, you can spend more time with the kids.  

I also work five days a week but I've got a lot to do after school and during holidays: marking, lesson preparation and extra-curricular activities.

Dear All

Last night Davin suddenly draw a picture of a baby & told me if we had another baby he would play with him.  It was the first time I'd ever heard from him.  Maybe it was the effect that Brian took his sister back to school.  Lydia, have Preston mentioned something similar ?

Preston always said my collegue's daughter is his sister. He'll ask for a baby or a puppy . I'm seriously considering his request.

Will any of you join the class observation on Thursday? Usually my hubby and I take turn for this activity. This time...my hubby will join...he he...Hei Ching feels very happy to know that her daddy will take her to school this Thursday.

Hei Ching becomes a member of HK Children's Choir from this month. She loves singing very much and hope I can have chance to enjoy her performance soon.

I will also attend the seminar tonight.  I am interested in the topic.

For class observation, I guess the school separates the parents of each class into three groups and each group will attend on a different day in this week.  Brian belongs to the first group (tommorow)

No matter whether you decide to  have a puppy or another baby, it's good for Preston.  :)

Hi Lydia,

Hei Ching attended the interview for HK Children's Choir last October. She wants to join the choir because my elder girl is also a choir member. The interview only requires the kids to sing a song loud and clear. Maybe you can also arrange Preston to join the coming interview if he is interested.

Learnt that the class observation actually lasts for 3 days.  The flow is quite good & kids do actively participate.

Hi ljsze,

I have arranged choir, ballet, and Letterland phonics courses for Hei Ching. I am thinking to start the 1:1 piano class for her around Easter. Most probably she will have the same piano teacher as my elder girl. If the progress is OK, I will let Hei Ching to participate the School Music Festival in next year.

It's good that Hei Ching is not shy to perform and sing aloud in front of strangers. Preston sings pretty good too (I think) but he's too shy to sing out loud, maybe he's not ready for it yet. He's more quiet type, better with acedamic than physical. After taking swimming class (level 1) for the 3rd time, he's still afraid to put his head under water. Anyway, I'll still let him try different things just to broaden his skills.

The class atmosphere is quite good, most kids can participate well in class. Both Miss Lai and Mr. Shawn are good teachers.

I fully agree with you about class atmosphere.  As a matter of fact, I did mention this to Mr. Shawn when I saw him this morning.  I also think that both teachers are good.

can U give me an opinion?
I have a dillamma that how to choose the kindergarden for my son.
I apply right-mind KG and it recept my son. But the school facility is very old and is too far for me. The fee for half day class is nearly to full- day class in LH. More impotant is that RMKG focus on the languages. The students must be smart on language. But the all-around delvopment is good at LH. I am very happy that children can join a lot of activites in LH eg. Hot Pot.Halloween. I still like LH , But I want to try to the right-mind training. What are U opinion?

Which kinder you should choose depends very much on how you want to 'mould' your son.  I guess kids in LH will be more happy while kids in Right Mind will be better in language development.  Both of them are what we want our kids to have.  :)
