The private tutor mentioned in this topic is recommended by my friend. Her kid has just finished studying level 3 which is advanced level of Letterland phonics in a small group with this tutor. The kid had studied phonics in other learning centre but slow in progress due to large number of students and teacher could not able to follow up individually. My friend had chosen this tutor at last and her kid is capable to read long story book independently now. Once, I have tried to test the kid with my story book from the library and she can really pronounce very well which is beyond her age level.
According to my friend, though the tutor is from local, she speaks English with foreign accent and always encourages children to response in English too. She emphasizes studying and practising are very important for children in order to attain the best result.
That's all I know about this tutor. Hope it can help.

Yes, my friend's kid likes reading very much.  She followed the instruction from the tutor and read the assigned story books loudly more than 5 times at home.  Besides, she reads extra books whenever she is free. Thus, I would say it is a good beginning  with the right tutor in order to assist and motivate the kids to achieve the goal  but it is important that the kids have to co-operate and work hard as well. themselves.
