想請問, 小朋友(k2), 想替她找phonics班, 是不是一定要找外籍老師呢, 本地老師是不是不好?

有好有唔好啦! 小朋友太細連母語都可能未明，好難明白英文，但自小俾小朋友聽多d，可能有幫助。

For learning phonics - native teacher is better unless your child has a lot of trouble listening/understanding. Then local teacher at least can teach the child the basic skills. However, some local teacher can say it accurately if they have studied abroad or lived there long time. That may not be bad choice anyway.

For learning grammar, I personally perfer local teacher though.

I totally agree with you.
local teacher may not be worse than native teachers, coz I found kids may not understand them...
