1. Other than school fee, how much for the miscellenous fees likes text books, snack, school bus fee, etc.

a) Textbook, stationery fee,apron etc : 1st term - $734; 2nd term - $474 (this is the price for 2000 K1 students)

b) snack - the school will only provide water during tea time, parents had to prepare the snacks for the kids

c) school bus fee - varies; depending on where you live; approx. ranging from $4xx (e.g. Hunghom, Homantin) - $6xx (e.g. Shatin, Fotan, TKO)

2. When the school start every morning? And, when will it finish?

AM - 9am - 12:00noon
PM - 1:15pm - 4:20pm


3. If the school only collects 10 months of school fee, there will be a month or two summer holiday of the kids. Am I right?

Where are you living?  I have the same idea moving to the place which is nearby the school.  I have checked with the nearby property agents after the interview on that date, the rental for the "Tong Lau" is around $7,000 for 700sqt.

I'm currently renting a flat with ~650 sq.ft in 麗港城 with a bit less than $7,000 a mth.  I think the traditionally 豪宅區 in 窩山 or 何文田 is too expensive for us. But we dun want to live in old Tong Lau in Mong Kok with similar rent that we're paying for 麗港城 or other similar estates which has club house & children amenity areas.
So I want to ask whether there're good suggestions.  I know some older bldgs. (not Tong Lau) around there with ~1000sq. ft. rent ~10,000 or more.
Maybe I'll walk around the property agents
there later to know more the details.

I also think of what you two did think now 1 year ago....and I have visited the property agencies near PC.  FYI...由於何文田算係舊區，所以好多樓的樓齡動輒都有三十年以上，而且係單楝物業，不過就未至於係唐樓，起碼有電梯嘅．．而佢地ｄ面積多數是較大(e.g. 1000 sq ft +)，因此點計都好難有幾千蚊嘅比我地租，一係就租太平道個度個ｄ，個度ｄ樓就新ｄ，但面積就較細(e.g. 4xx-5xx sq ft 左右），咁就幾千都有交易，但就未必夠住，因為佢地ｄ實用面積好細．．．

我諗我同你地租樓的要求都好相近，即係唔好係太舊，地方又唔好太細，又要企理之類．．．我以前有問過．．$10000左右開始，我都有諗過搬落嚟附近，不過因為我仲有個細仔，我想等佢都confirm可以考得入培正先諗都未遲，費事到時一個得一個唔得就煩．．

不過，因為我依家先剛搬咗屋，睇怕都未必短期內再搬住咯．．

我見議你們找新居前先問校車部取心水地區的路線表參考, 我覺得校車站的位置同車程的時間都是我找屋的一個重要因素.  9月時我問校車部取了一些路線表, 因此我有下午班k11-k16號校車的路線表, 上午班的路線會有點不同, 但校車站的位置大致相同, 如果你們有需要, 我可e-mail給你們.

I know most parent prefer to live close to Pui Ching when they confirmed to promote to their primary school. (they have many after school activities) However, a good living environment is more important for a young kid especially-- a big playgound.  I am living in Kowloon East close to Yiuba and I think I would consider to move later when my second child (K1 now) also promoted to primary school.
