我share 下個人經驗
我大女係第一屆DSE...讀Band 1女校，成績雖然無爆燈，但已經是自己學校最高分的那位。

當時在手有UCL Law 同 HKU LLB

最後留港讀 HKU LLB, 原因係外國回來要考conversion...唔係咁易過到呢關，識人讀完ox- bridge 回來，都考唔到conversion.

至於有無國際firm收，全靠大學成績。HKU會主動把成績好的同學名單交給大firm...d firm 自然會來找成績好的同學，又會offer 獎學金，又會邀請成績好的同學放假去做 intern.

HKU 讀Law係比CU同英國難，professor 在Year 1開學已經同班同學講。我女話比較起來,DSE 簡直小兒科，HKU Law 真係讀到喊。

我大女有時讀得辛苦都有怨我當時點解不送佢過英國囉....

為左實現下留學的夢想，佢現在在LSE 讀6星期summer school...

我同佢講，讀完 LLB, 如果佢想的話，我會送佢過英國讀 master. 之不過，她因為Year 2成績好好，有兩間大行(一間 local 大firm，一間係國際大 firm)向佢招手做intern同發scholarship，到底佢去唔去讀 master，我真係唔知。

佢一陣，又話Year 4去exchange 一年，總之就計劃多多，我都唔知邊個先係真....

我係來緊9月會去英國讀書既中五生
其實我個人所見英國考到好成績既機會率係相對較DSE高
如果讀書較好加上個人本身outgoing
去英國係一個golden opportunity 拎好成績同認識更多

I am talking about "top" uk boarding schools. Deadline is normally one year ahead. Go and check their websites and you will know.

我小朋友第一屆334, 想讀 law。因為唔知新制會發生甚麼事, 用DSE predicted grade 報英國U, 又因為我哋唔想花錢去讀差的大學,申請的5間U law 的排名都比HKU高。結果有4個 conditional offer , 最後放棄了HKU LLB 去英國。現在讀得幾開心。所以如果成绩ok, 可考慮完成DSE, 攞埋張cert 才去。

2，3個月又返嚟一次，時間好快過架，我仔上年去讀，初時以為唔慣，但唔係想像咁丶仲比以前多左時間做自己嘢，平時又可以 Whatsapp，去完 outting 佢都會 send D相俾我睇

感謝大家咁詳盡嘅意見
琴晚再同阿女傾的確佢係做左好多好多research 對英國嘅中學同課程甚至大學都好似瞭如指掌咁我都好驚訝!!!
但另一方面我越諗就越唔捨得佢諗起星期六日冇佢陪我就唔敢想像會點.....
當我同佢講我會唔捨得佢嘅時候佢好似有d失望所以最後佢話如果入到好嘅學校就去而我覺得我都應該比佢自己揀...
聽日我同佢book左上AA做screening test 之後先睇下有咩offer再算啦!
而家我嘅心態都係聽天由命啦!

你的女兒英國不合，學拉丁文是歐州好D，英國外語是法語，西班牙及德文為主，不如做交流生去歐州一看。

我送女兒去英國讀書，不會有太多的寄望，因為她自己會有心中的理想，她講過想做律師、記者、政治家、作家、做生意等，因以上的工作都是女兒從小接觸的，我們家同親戚都是從事這些行業。
前幾天我對她說，女兒，你在英國開心地讀書，發揮你所長，大學喜歡讀什麼都沒所謂，自己有興趣的才會上心地去讀，父母不會要你養，但你養活自己。
她笑說我要學《哈利波特》作者羅琳那樣，去讀拉丁文學，寫自己喜歡的書。
太太也笑說：讀自己興趣科目，才會更有動力，女兒，你尋找自己的夢想，我們會全力支持。

== 同意, 我女去年都係咁...讀 Band one 頭學校, 自己話想出國開下眼界...... 可能香港讀書真係太辛苦啦,佢覺得英國寄宿學校反為更加岩佢, 定時作息, 生活可以簡單好多, 唔駛再去補習, 唔駛再去興趣班,
少左交通往來的時間, 多左時間讀書, 星期六都係去下超市買下生果食....生活, 就是這樣。

Apply UCAS (especially LSE --> just a great PS will work) using DSE predicted grade, since you said your daughter is doing so well. No need to waste 1 million and an extra year to get the same offers.

這是相當痛苦的決定, 要做決定, 今年要做

去英國, 可以博到LSE,WARWICK

老實說, 　個人經驗

ALEVEL　博ＬＡＷ，　易過香港　ＤＳＥ　博ＬＡＷ

如果

１．　佢本地中學，有把握，　入到ＨＫＵ／ＣＵ　ＬＡＷ

就留在香港

２．　想去下外面世界，　屋企俾得起，　就英國

英國可以博下頂尖的大學，　（不要提ＯＸＦＯＲＤ／ＣＡＭＢＲＩＤＧＥ　先，　

頂尖ＵＣＬ　，　ＬＳＥ，ＷＡＲＷＩＣＫ）

英國，　多運動堂，　體力要求大，　又要返教會，　讀書時間，　不會好似香港太多，　

不喜歡ＳＯＣＩＡＬ　的話，　去英國寄宿學校讀書　可能很痛苦

大ＦＩＲＭ　工作，　不一定外國畢業　

但的確是多數在外國畢業，　外資大ＦＩＲＭ　在大學

有資助，　可以推薦直讀ＪＤ，　但太遙遠

先為自己前途拍板
