From my experience last year, they didn't test my son's calculation.  They only asked him to do some counting.  I think you should focus on his reading skills.  It is important to show the principal that you son has a good reading habit.  Since it is an English school, perhaps you'll want to strengthen his English reading skill.

會唔會bbone攪亂左其他既小學呢?
英華係中文小學,只係響英文堂全英文來教.而數學科亦只會有一小部份題目係要學英文既啫.
另外面試果時,應該都係有計數既題目喎.前年就肯定有,舊年有冇就唔知啦,不過照計唔會越考越淺既卦?!

至於要學到識計幾多數呢樣,睇佢既題目,我就覺得英華係考個小朋友既腦筋係咪靈活,而多過考佢識計到幾多位加減囉.

Thank you, Era.  My son will go to YW this Sept.  I always thought it was an English primary school since I see a lot of parents in BK saying how difficult its English is.  

But anyhow, I checked with my son's school mates who went to YW's interview last year.  All of them said the same thing, no calculation was tested, only counting.  But I agree with you, 英華係考個小朋友既腦筋係咪靈活,而多過考佢識計到幾多位加減.

I also found that the English subject is not very easy. The books are easy but the worksheets are quite different.

Children may think that there is no calculation because they did not find any question such as 28+32=? But the questions are asked in another way just like: I have 28 apples and you give me 32. How many do I have?...(This is an example only. The questions I heard are more complicated.)
