Re: Show and Tell

I saw it 2 years b4 in toy shop, forgot which one already. But seems very very simple, for age 3+.
Hi!
Yes! This seems very simple at first, and it's also the reason why teachers like using this for an interview.
I once showed a set of cards to 5 students. Basically, the story is about a lion tamer who fails to train a lazy lion. In the end, a mouse approaches him and they decide to perform together.
Interestingly, every one of the children gave me a different answer.
Student A (P5): "My friend asked me to go to circus with him, but I said no because I don't want to see someone beating up a lion. This is not a good thing to do, so I refused him. However, when he returned, he said it was actually very interesting because the lion tamer wasn't cruel at all....."
Comment: This is the most interesting account of the story. From the story, I can also get to know the girl's moral values. If this were an interview for F1, she'd definitely get a good mark.
Student B (P2) decided to create a dialogue between the lion tamer and the mouse, which turned out to be very funny.
Student C (P1) said that he really wanted to work for a circus because he loved animals. He then continued on the story by telling the story...
Just by these five cards, a teacher may easily observe the candidates' oral skills, moral values and creativity. They can also tell whether the candidates are attentive to details (ie: physical appearance/the characters' emotional states, etc).
BTW, for those who are interested, I bought the cards in an educational toy shop in Stanley.
