All depends on your kid's English level.  The earlier they start reading, they could read advanced stage even at low age. I know sbd's kid is only 4 yrs old and can read stage 5 on his/her own.

Hi,

Stage 1-2 ---> 1-4 yrs old
Stage 2-5 ---> 3-6 yrs old

My kid is 2.5 yrs old and reading stages 1 & 2 (need parental accompany).
