From SJS web page, the information below is talking about 2005 admission. You should call the school secretary at 2692 2721 for further information. Besides, this is not the right topic for asking admission question. You should post your question under a new topic, I think many parents here are willing to answer your question.

For children eligible for the Primary One intake we accept the applications a year ahead of entry. This means that for children born in 2000 who are due to start in our school in September 2005, application forms will be accepted from Friday, 17th September 2004 onwards. For those families who already have a child studying in an ESF school, applications for siblings will be accepted from Friday, 11th June 2004.

Anyone knows if ESF Bauhinia Primary School is good or not? Is its standard similar to other more famous ESF Primary such as Shatin Junior and Kowloon Beacon Hill?

Bauhinia Primary School
Founded: 2002
The youngest ESF primary, located in a housing estate setting, with 360 pupils. Dynamically led school that looks after children's individual needs and promotes strong home links. Majority of students are of Chinese or Asian backgrounds. Will operate until at least 2007, when the ESF's new Private Independent School in Discovery Bay is due to open.

Hi WYmon;
I think Bauhinia is a good school because my son studied there last year. The majority of student are western (~ 80 %) and most of them live in Discovery Bay. The mode of teaching are same as KJS. The size of the class room is bigger. The down side is that the school site is not permanent and the student are going to move to Ma On Shan and Discovery Bay in 2007. That's why my son transfer to KJS this year.
Is your kid going to primary school next year?

Thanks a lot for your info. My kid may join Bauhinia year 5. In 2007, she will go to secondary, so no problem for me if the school is to be relocated by that time.

Hi JC Mother,
This is Ashleymama. I am planning to apply to ESF primary for my daughter. My first choice is SJS as of it's strong and good reputation. However, I prefer a more "english" school environment for my girl, so I think the majority of the nationality of students is more important. I note that the SJS are mainly local students (Asian) so it is good to here from you that about 80% of students of Bauhinia school are western. So do you think the school is good? for me it's ok to transfer to DB ESF PIS in the future as DB is also a very nice place to live in. Well, I'm not so sure if this is a right thing to so (to apply Bauhinia instead of SJS) since many parents say SJS is better....

Hi!

I just receive the acceptance letter from ESF Sheung Wan Kindy. I am very worry about:
1. Is that must have a space for my kid go to ESF P1 if I study in ESF Kindy ?
2. I use cantonese talk with my son so will he also become good at english when he study in ESF kindy.
3. Is that many extra activities fee for P1 except the month fee?

Hi Ashleymama;
I think Bauhinia is one of the best school in ESF. It is the youngest school in ESF and that's why not much people talk about it. My son studied P.1 there and had a very happy and wonderful year. So, if you want a more English environment for your girl, Bauhinia is a right choice. You can take a visit to the school to see how you like it.
There may be a risk if the DB PIS is not open as schedule , you may need to transfer to Ma On Shan. Also, DBPIS and MOS are ESF independent school, the school fee will be different to the original ESF. You can contact the school adminstrator of Bauhinia and get the latest update.

Hi all! It is nice to see this forum
My girl will start at Kennedy P1 the coming Sept.
But we now want to move to Kolwoon. Is it possible to transfer her from Kennedy to any ESF P1?
Which school is better/easier?
Please share your experience if you have!
